This two-bedroom lodge 1 mile from Tintagel gives a family or group of friends a comfortable base for exploring North Cornwall’s rugged coastline. It’s set within a peaceful holiday park, with a walk down steep cliff steps to Bossiney Cove (0.5 miles) right opposite. Here, the beach appears at low tide and stretches towards neighbouring Benoath Cove. On a calm day, the clear water may tempt you to swim or snorkel (please be careful of those rip currents!). At St Nectan’s Glen (1.5 miles), impressive waterfalls have long attracted visitors drawn by a peaceful setting. Tintagel (1 mile) is a flat walk from the holiday park and is great for stopping for coffee before exploring the medieval Old Post Office and its cottage garden. For day trips along the coast, Port Isaac (11 miles) and Rock (17 miles) are both excellent options.
You’ll reach the timber lodge after climbing a few steps from the shared driveway, then passing through your private gate. Inside, the property has a modern and welcoming interior with neutral colours and wooden accents. Double-aspect windows and an apex ceiling keep the open-plan living area light and spacious. The generous kitchen-diner makes it easy to prepare a meal and sit down together, and there’s plenty of sofa space for watching TV – after dark, you can draw the curtains for a cosy atmosphere. The double bedroom has a walk-in wardrobe and an en-suite shower room and WC. There’s also a twin bedroom with two smaller 2′6″ single beds, plus a separate family shower room and WC.
Patio doors from the main living area open onto a spacious, enclosed deck with garden furniture for enjoying breakfast or dinner outside. After a day on your feet, the hot tub is lovely for relaxing your limbs. Parking for one car is provided beside the lodge.
