For a restful Cornish holiday with family friends, stay at this cosy two-bedroom lodge within a holiday park. It’s just 1 mile from Tintagel, steeped in Arthurian legend, and makes a lovely base for exploring North Cornwall’s rugged coastline with your dog. Opposite the park is a footpath (steep steps) leading to Bossiney Cove (0.5 miles), where the sand appears around low tide giving way to rock pools and caves. Back in Tintagel (1 mile), you could pick up a Cornish pasty for lunch and browse the shops along the main street, before a must-see visit to the National Trust’s Old Post Office. Boscastle (3 miles) has a historic harbour that’s worth a look, along with a Museum of Witchcraft and Magic. The South West Coast Path (0.5 miles) is fab for clifftop hikes whenever you’re ready to walk off lunch.
On arrival, climb a few steps to the raised decking before stepping inside. A neutral decor gives the lodge a calm and modern look. Double-aspect windows brighten the open-plan living space, while the apex ceiling makes it feel roomy. After a day outdoors, spread out on the large corner sofa, pop on the TV and draw the curtains for a cosy evening. The black-and-white kitchen sits beside the dining table, so it’s easy to bring everyone together for a meal. There’s a double bedroom with its own WC, plus a twin bedroom with two smaller 2′6″ single beds and a separate shower room with WC.
Outside, the spacious decking has a circular table and chairs for breakfast in the morning air or dinner when the weather is warm. There is also a hot tub. Parking is available for one car.
