Set within a holiday park 1 mile from Tintagel, this two-bedroom lodge is a comfortable choice for a family or two couples keen to explore North Cornwall. Take the flat walk to Tintagel and browse the cafés, bakeries and gift shops along the main street, then visit the medieval Old Post Office. The village’s iconic castle (1.5 miles) gives you dramatic coastal scenery alongside its King Arthur connections. For a scenic walk, follow the path from the park towards St Nectan’s Glen (1.5 miles), where woodland surrounds a series of waterfalls. You could also take the South West Coast Path (500 metres) towards Boscastle (3 miles), a historic fishing village with a harbour and a Museum of Witchcraft and Magic. Closer to the lodge, Rocky Valley (0.5 miles) follows the Trevillet River through ancient woodland and between steep slate walls, towards the sea.
On arrival, follow the gravelled path and climb a few steps to the gate onto the lodge’s decking. Inside, neutral colours and an open-plan layout give the living, kitchen and dining areas a relaxed look and feel. The kitchen has everything you need for prepping meals and picnics for tomorrow, and there’s a dining table for four for sitting down to meals and planning adventures. Two large sofas and a Smart TV provide a place to settle in for the evening. For sleeping, you’ll have a double bedroom with an en-suite shower room, along with a good-sized twin bedroom served by a family bathroom with a bath and overhead shower. Both bedrooms have plenty of storage.
Patio doors open onto the furnished deck, giving you space to sit outdoors with a drink and enjoy the fresh air. The surrounding views are gorgeous from here. Parking for one car is provided beside the lodge.
