Part of a scenic holiday park 1 mile from historic Tintagel, this timber lodge is an ideal base for a North Cornwall break. Sleeping four, it suits a family or two couples, with beaches and excellent walks within easy reach. Tintagel is a flat walk away, with cafés, bakeries, pubs, restaurants and shops dotted along its lively main street. For beach days, cross the road and follow the path to Bossiney Cove (0.5 miles). This sandy beach appears at low tide, when you can explore its rock pools and sea caves (be prepared for steep cliff steps). Tintagel Castle (1.5 miles) pairs dramatic sea views with the legends of King Arthur, while at St Nectan’s Glen (1.5 miles) you can follow a woodland walk to breathtaking waterfalls. For walking, follow the South West Coast Path (500 metres) towards the historic fishing village of Boscastle (3 miles).
Inside, appealing décor and an apex ceiling give the lodge a spacious and modern feel. The open-plan kitchen and living area is ideal for spending quality time together, whether you’re preparing dinner, playing a board game or settling down to watch the Smart TV. A circular dining table conveniently located beside the kitchen seats four. There are two bedrooms: a double with its own en-suite shower room, plus a twin. A separate family bathroom has a bath with an overhead shower, giving you the choice of a leisurely soak or a quick rinse after days out.
Two sets of patio doors open onto a deck, where you can sit outside in the fresh air and take breakfasts and evening meals outside. The hot tub is a real treat for tired muscles when you’ve been out exploring all day. There’s private parking for one car at the rear of the lodge.
