In the evening, come home to sink into the bubbling hot tub on your patio and watch the last of the light fade over the Atlantic waves below.
Pull into your private parking spot (there’s room for two cars) and head to your stylish hideaway’s upper entrance. Step inside and you’ll find a gorgeous open-plan living and dining space arranged beneath a curved roof at the top of the house. Two sofas and two armchairs face the Smart TV, and a large wooden dining table for eight sits beside the kitchen. Sliding glass doors fill the space with natural light and open onto your fabulous first-floor sea-view balcony – the perfect spot to sip a cocktail as you watch the sunset. Alternatively, the impressive curved patio on the ground floor is a superb spot for hosting an al fresco dinner, or to take a luxurious dip in the hot tub while you soak up the sea views. At the end of the day, you’ll find two beautiful bedrooms sitting at the rear of the ground floor – one king-size with an en-suite bathroom with a bath and shower, and one king-size with its own en-suite shower room. Both have doors that open directly onto the curved patio. Two further ground-floor bedrooms face the front of the ground floor – one zip-and-link room (can be arranged as a double or twin on request), and a fun triple bunk room (double base with a single above). Each has its own en-suite shower room.
Head straight out onto Widemouth Bay (ten metres) and you’ll be on one of the best surf beaches on the north Cornwall coast. The south end of the bay, which is sheltered by Black Rock, offers the most consistent surf. Or make your way into Bude (3.5 miles) to take a dip in the extraordinary natural tidal pool at Summerleaze Beach. Further afield, the clifftop trails around Tintagel (13 miles) take in the dramatic headland above King Arthur's legendary castle.
