This traditional Cornish farmhouse, approximately 200 years old, sleeps 12 and stands in open countryside on a small rural development midway between Falmouth and St Ives. Its scale suits extended families and groups of friends travelling together for celebrations and get-togethers. Lanes and bridleways thread out through the fields, and the two coastlines pull in opposite directions: the north with its surf beaches and rugged cliff paths, the south with sheltered coves and sailing waters. Stithians Lake Activities Centre is just 2 miles away and offers sailing, windsurfing, canoeing and archery, along with lakeside walks and wildlife. Falmouth (9.5 miles) brings a working port and marinas, with the National Maritime Museum and Pendennis Castle overlooking the estuary, while the National Trust's Godrevy (12.5 miles) is the ideal spot for wildlife-watching and whiling away the hours on its long golden surfing bay.
Exposed stonework runs throughout the ground floor, and the farmhouse offers three separate sitting rooms for gathering, relaxing and spending time together. Two of the sitting rooms feature TVs, while all three benefit from their own wood burner. The kitchen/dining room is the working heart of the house, with a large range for cooking at scale and a long farmhouse table where all 12 guests can eat together. French doors lead from here out to the garden and patio. A shower room with a shower and WC completes the ground floor. All six bedrooms are on the first floor. The two double bedrooms each have an en-suite shower room with a cubicle shower and WC. Four twin bedrooms complete the sleeping accommodation, two of which can be arranged as super-king-size zip-and-link rooms on request. Serving the twin bedrooms is a contemporary bathroom with a roll-top bath, shower and WC.
A large private rear garden is enclosed and secluded., with a patio and garden furniture for alfresco dining, plus a private hot tub for soaking after a day out. Seven acres of natural grounds, a wildflower area and a children's play area are shared among guests staying on the site and provide wonderful opportunities for leisurely strolls. Ample private parking for 6–8 cars is available at the farmhouse.
