This three-bedroom lodge sits in quiet rural Cornwall, part of a small holiday park set off the beaten track with far-reaching views towards The Lizard. It is a lodge for six friends or a family seeking an active outdoors holiday, where surfing and sailing sit alongside quiet days kicking back and relaxing on the private deck or in the hot tub. The north and south coasts of Cornwall are both accessible from here, and the Southwest Coast Path is 7 miles away, providing access to long walks alongside rugged cliffs and hidden coves. Water sports at Stithians Lake Activities Centre (2 miles) fill an afternoon, while the maritime town of Falmouth (9.5 miles) brings harbour life and boat trips, and the cobbled lanes and galleries of St Ives (19.5 miles) sit over on the north coast. The biomes of the Eden Project (31 miles) are a well-known draw and great for a day out with the whole family.
Inside, the open-plan living space rises to a vaulted ceiling, with the kitchen and dining area at one end and large French doors flooding the space with light, creating a real sense of height and air throughout. After you have cooked up a delicious meal, curl up on the sumptuous sofas to watch a movie on the TV. The seating is arranged for easy conversation, and the dining table sits close enough to the kitchen for the cook to stay part of it. When you are ready for bed, the king-size bedroom is set apart from the main living space and has an en-suite shower room. Two further bedrooms are laid out as twins, and one of these can be arranged as a double by request. Both are served by the family bathroom, which has a spa bath with a shower over, and a WC.
The south-facing decked area opens straight off the living space and holds a picnic bench for outdoor dining and evening drinks. Adjacent is a private hot tub which looks out over the countryside. Elsewhere on the park, a wildflower area and a children's play park are shared with other guests. Parking is available at the lodge. A domestic welcome pack is provided on arrival.
