Get out and explore the North Cornish coastline from this unusual base, located amid other quirky pods on green farmland. It’s ideally suited for both an outward-bound break for a small family or a romantic retreat for two. Bude, offering a choice of sandy beaches, is 1.5 miles from the property so you can paddle, build sandcastles or grab your board to catch some serious surf if the conditions are right.
With full insulation and underfloor heating these glamping pods stay cosy in all weathers, but truly come into their own when the sun is shining and you can open the front full-width doors onto the private decked area, complete with seating and BBQ. Enjoy a leisurely breakfast while you plan your day – or review it over a sundowner or meal – all while enjoying the views of the wide blue sky and beautifully undulating grounds. Younger members of the party will enjoy the play area and making holiday souvenirs at the on-site Shell Studio.
Take a refreshing dip within the safe confines of Bude’s wonderful sea pool. Walkers will enjoy the network of footpaths that criss-cross the surrounding countryside with the South West Coast Path hugging the rugged coastline. Ancient Tintagel with its ruined castle, National Trust Post Office and Merlin’s Cave is 17 miles by car. Set off early if you fancy getting ahead of the crowds. Boscastle is 13 miles away and offers an attractive natural harbour with walls dating from the 16th century, and something more unusual in the Museum of Witchcraft.
