Escape to this stylish retreat on the edge of Bude, and you’ll be just 1.5 miles from award-winning surfing beaches, scenic walking spots and plenty of shops and cafes. With room for six guests over three bedrooms, this glass-fronted lodge is wonderful for families, couples or small groups of friends eager for a coastal break.
Light woods and creamy tones blend with rich greens to bring the outdoors in, so you feel relaxed the moment you step inside. After a day of surfing, dust off any sand, and on through to the vaulted open-plan living space. Generous, soft seating and a TV with a soundbar set you up for entertainment-packed evenings, while the blue-tinged kitchen provides everything you need to plate up takeaways or cook your own versions. Post-beach dinners can be enjoyed around the table, as can rounds of cards or spreading out the maps. When night falls, head off to the three appealing bedrooms, each with comforting decor and two bathrooms, including an en-suite rainfall shower. Mornings can be spent with the whole family out in the sunshine on the decking while you fire up the BBQ.
Just 1.5 miles from the sun-drenched sands of Bude’s beaches, enjoy endless days of taking to your board, sunbathing or taking in the vistas from the South West Coast Path. Dip in and out of the tidal sea pool, before heading into the centre of the town to sample Cornish pasties and cream teas at a number of cafes and restaurants. For a taste of history, drive to the fishing port of Boscastle (13 miles), or to the legendary Tintagel (17 miles). With the A39 close by, adventures are incredibly easy to come by.
