With a heated outdoor swimming pool and play facilities, this beautiful wooden-clad holiday retreat offers the perfect family base for a peaceful escape to Cornwall
We all know that any dog-owner regards their four-legged friend as firmly part of the family. So, the good news is that four on two legs and two on four can holiday together in comfort at this two-bed wood-clad lodge. And with accommodation on one level, it’s ideal for any age group, not to mention practical. Set on the Notter Mill Country Park complex in Notter Bridge, you’re just 3.5 miles from Saltash and ideally positioned for exciting forays and adventures around Cornwall. But, for days when you can’t be bothered to drive, enjoy the facilities on-site such as the tennis court, kids’ play area, heated pool (end of May to early September) and gorgeous grounds.
This spacious lodge is light and airy with lots of windows, white painted walls and ceiling and an inside-outside vibe with lots of doors. It’s ideal for any small family, couple or group who want peace and quiet with amenities on hand. Step into the welcoming lounge/kitchen/diner and instantly feel relaxed. Rustic tiled flooring throughout is a great option with dogs in tow. Cook up a storm in the comprehensive modern kitchen before eating it at the dining table. Or just relax in the lounge area, lighting the open fire for a cosy feel on cooler days. At bedtime, there’s one calming double and one twin bedroom. Outside you have a fairly secluded patio with a picnic bench, shared lawns and the wider grounds.
With dogs in tow, your best bet is local walks along the River Lynher which passes the complex or else to head to the coast. Looe is 12 miles away and has plenty to do and see, while dog-friendly Tregantle Beach (11 miles) is a great place for sandy walkies. But you can pretty much beach-hop along the coast in either direction, stopping where the fancy takes you.
