Reviews

Janet at the property was very welcoming. We’ve stayed at so many cottages across Cornwall, Padstow in particular, and this was by far the easiest to visit with the dogs and made a great base for visiting the dog-friendly beaches.

Miss Kim Deane,

We have stayed many times with Cornish Horizons and holidayed in the area for 30+ years. The caretaker was very nice. Good value for money.

Mr John Godfrey,

A nice property that is set back from the hussle and bussle of St Merryn yet close to the village itself. Lovely beaches nearby with plenty of relatively easy walks. Would stay here again for sure!

Mr martyn smith,

A comfortable apartement ideally located for the local beach, local pub and beyond. We received a warm welcome and were well looked after by Jan. We have two dogs who were also received a warm welcome and lots of attention, which they loved.

Mrs Helen Head,

The property manager is very helpful and has lovely dogs :)

Miss Beth Hart,

Super property. Ideally located for great walks and exploring the county. We'll definitely be back.

Mrs Sandra Hamilton,

We received a very warm welcome from Janet at the property. Cottage well situated for visiting Padstow and much of Cornwall.

Mrs Linda Treadwell,

Map

St Merryn is a hidden gem located within easy reach of the stunning coast of North Cornwall, with a friendly, welcoming atmosphere, helpful local convenience stores and delis, and a wide variety of places to eat.  Sometimes overlooked, due to the proximity of the larger town of Padstow just ten minutes' drive away, St Merryn is nevertheless a great holiday setting in its own right, its convenient location and many amenities attracting visitors back year after year. Known as the 'Seven Bays' area due to the number of beaches along this part of the coastline, you know you are approaching the village when you see the 'Seven Bays for Seven Days' signs on the road heading in. If it's a walking holiday you are looking for, St Merryn is an excellent choice, being near to beaches, cliffs and fields, where lovely views entice you from your holiday home and into the great outdoors.  And of course, if you have a four legged family member, they will love it too!  There is also a riding stables nearby if you've always wanted to explore the area on horseback (a wonderful way to see the stunning local scenery).
