This spacious lodge for four and their canine companions makes a wonderful retreat for a group of friends or family. Porthtowan beach and tidal pool are just 0.5 miles away and it’s ideal for exploring North Cornwall’s towns and attractions. The lodge is all on one level and has a cosy wood burner, and a glass-covered decked area with a hot tub spa and a pretty garden.

Go into the stylish open-plan living space where the lounge has a roaring wood burner for chilly evenings in, a Smart TV and plenty of sofa space. Enjoy meals created in the kitchen at the dining table and chairs or grab a bite to eat at the breakfast bar with stools for two. You’ll get a great night’s sleep in the two bedrooms, a king-size room with an en-suite shower room, a twin or king room, plus there’s a family bathroom. Outside is a gem, a glass-covered decked terrace overlooking verdant planting, a hot tub, and a BBQ. You can store your surfboards and beach equipment in the outdoor cupboard and rinse off the sand under the heated drench shower outside.
Porthtowan beach is a great spot for surfing and families, and swimming in the tidal pool (0.5 miles). The village is also home to a pub, a local shop, and places to eat out, including a fish and chip shop and a beach cafe. Heading further afield, visit the Eden Project (29 miles), Tate St Ives (18.5 miles) and St Agnes’ pretty beaches and coves (4 miles). Wander the clifftops on the South West Coast Path and go surfing at Godrevy beach (10 miles), which looks out at Godrevy island and lighthouse, the inspiration for Virginia Woolf’s ‘To the Lighthouse’.
