One of three holiday properties in a converted chapel, this beautiful quirky house in Newquay is perfect for a big group or family. It’s 200 metres from the nearest beach and there are places to go out right on the doorstep. The old chapel now features some luxurious touches, like the underfloor heating and Smart TVs in every bedroom, that make it a special place to stay.
The arched front door is pretty special too. Unusually, the living space is all upstairs, an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The living space is incredible – super-stylish and contemporary with a 6-metre-high vaulted ceiling and 3-metre arched windows. As well as the three stunning bedrooms, there’s a family bathroom downstairs with a shower over the bath.
Newquay isn’t called the surfing capital of the UK for nothing! The house is in the town about halfway between Fistral and Towan beaches, which have quite different waves thanks to their sand banks. They’re also great beaches for paddleboarding and relaxing. Newquay also has a reputation as a lively place to go out and won’t disappoint with plenty of bars, shops, and restaurants. There’s also a cinema, the wonderful aquarium, and a golf course. Wander along the beautiful, rugged shoreline on the South West Coast Path, or spend the day nosing around National Trust properties and gardens, including the impressive Elizabethan manor Trerice House (3 miles away). The Eden Project is only 18 miles away where there are regular events, exhibitions, and activities as well as incredible plant life to explore in the biomes.
