In one of four comfortable courtyard barn conversions on a 110-acre pasture and woodland estate (Treworgey Manor, 3 miles north of Liskeard), your stay will be steeped in rural peace and surrounded by nature. This property is sized for smaller families and shares the brilliant leisure facilities with the other properties: a tennis court and games room. A seasonal outdoor heated swimming pool is open end of May to mid September. It's ideally placed for day trips to the attractions of southeast Cornwall, including Bodmin Moor and the South Cornish Coast.
The setting is magical, from the long driveway shaded by mature trees, to the beautiful surroundings full of wildlife. Inside, you'll be impressed by the comfort, permanence and assured country-house style. The decoration is simple with white walls and solid timber beams and lintels. Paint colours are muted and subtle, and you'll enjoy the classic British fabrics, natural wood flooring and some antique furniture pieces. Your private garden awaits outside, for sundowners or a sizzling BBQ on the decked area. Due to the current situation the games room will not be available. Tennis racquets and balls will be available for use on the tennis courts but guests are asked to bring their own where possible.
Polperro with its winding, car-free streets huddling around the small harbour, has fine dining choices and speciality shops. To get away from the crowds, Lansallos Beach is secluded and less visited – both are 15 miles away on the south coast. For more adventure, on Bodmin Moor you can climb Brown Willy, Cornwall's highest peak, 13 miles away, or try watersports like sailing, windsurfing or kayaking at Siblyback Lake within 4 miles. Or saddle up and gallop over the sweeping hillsides – there are several riding stables in the area.
