One of four comfortable courtyard barn conversions on a 110-acre estate, Treworgey Manor 3 miles north of Liskeard, this medium-sized property is surrounded by pasture and woodland, with streams, so you're sure of peace and quiet to commune with nature. Shared with the other cottage properties are leisure facilities to occupy all ages: a tennis court, games room, and outdoor heated swimming pool (open end of May to mid September). It's your base for discovering southeast Cornwall, from Bodmin Moor to the beautiful South Cornish Coast.

From the moment you enter the green-bordered, tree-lined driveway, rush and worry will ebb away. It's a haven of peace with a feel of country-house comfort. Inside, the scheme is simple with white walls and solid timber beams and lintels; fabrics are in vintage British patterns, paints are in calm colours, and natural wood floors and furniture give a pleasing solidity to the space. There's even a secluded, lawned garden with a sunny decked seating area, ideal for a BBQ or a leisurely al fresco lunch.  Tennis racquets and balls will be available for use on the tennis courts but guests are asked to bring their own where possible.

For a picturesque seaside harbour village with beach, pubs and speciality shops, Looe is a bustling place to spend a day, or for a beach day in a secluded cove, Lansallos Beach is perfect for a picnic – both are 15 miles away. Bodmin Moor has excellent walking: Brown Willy, Cornwall's highest peak, is 13 miles away, or there's a delightful walk to Golitha Falls, 2 miles away. Get a new perspective on Bodmin's landscape from horseback – there are several stables in the area.

Throughly enjoyed our week staying at Deer Park, beautiful, peaceful setting, cottage was spotless and very well equipped. Lots to do around the local area. The pool, tennis courts and games room were a real bonus and the kids made good use of them all each day. Private garden was well enclosed and very safe for our dog. Had a really nice break, the cottage was lovely and spacious with private garden. Having the additional access to the grounds was brilliant as we have 2x border collies, plus use of the swimming pool, tennis court and games room meant that we always had something to do when we returned from a day out Would defiantly book this cottage again

Very nice cottage, with plenty of room for six people, a games room, tennis court and pool in the summer (closed when we went in April).
