This charming house with wonderful countryside views is part of a converted Methodist chapel in the pretty hamlet of Rinsey and is perfect for couples, a family or friends looking for a peaceful holiday not far from the beaches. Walkers will love having access to the spectacular South West Coast Path less than 500 metres away. A lovely section is from Praa Sands (3 miles) to Hendra Beach, about 4 miles through dunes, quiet country roads and fields.

This is a charming property set over two levels and retains a country style with many original features, including exposed stone walls and tiled floors. These original features blend seamlessly with contemporary decor and furnishings to provide a warm welcome for your stay. On the ground floor is a pretty open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with plenty of comfortable seating for everyone to unwind, watch movies on the TV or cosy up around the wood burner on cooler evenings. You can cook up a storm in the kitchen and linger over meals at the wooden dining table. On the first floor, you’ll find one king-size and one twin bedroom and a contemporary bathroom. Outside is a large patio with garden furniture to enjoy sitting out in fine weather and a gated garden called ’The Thicket’.

Nearby Praa Sands (3 miles) is a village famous for its glorious mile-long sandy beach. It is a popular destination for families with buckets and spades and for surfing - the perfect place for a relaxing beach holiday. The property is ideally situated for reaching several of Cornwall’s most famous attractions, including the popular seaside town of St Ives (17 miles) which has four beaches and is a great place for art lovers and foodies. The rugged coastline and dramatic cliffs of Lizard Point are 18 miles away, and no trip would be complete without heading to the gorgeous beach at Marazion (7 miles) and looking (or walking at low tide) across to the iconic St Michael’s Mount.

We have stayed at Chapel 2, Rinsey three times and have always appreciated the welcoming note, gifts and generously comfortable provision throughout. The position is ideal. It is close to the coatal path and, for those who do not want to walk, near viewing places for spectacular coastal scenery. Within a short drive are plenty of places of interestRead more, and a good shop for provisions in Porthleven. Above all, it is wonderfully peaceful. Hide

Chapel 2 was very comfortable and had a very pleasant tranquil atmosphere. The owners had made generous provision of all one could want plus gifts of coffee, tea, fairings, cream, milk, and a vase of daffodils. Rinsey is a peaceful hamlet and we liked being able to walk in five minutes to the coastal path. Further down is the muscular sea and, for Read morethe intrepid, a sandy cove. Good paths to Praa Sands and, the other way, to Porthleven. The house is a useful centre too for visits to gardens, ancient sites and churches, and local towns. We have very much enjoyed staying at Chapel 2 (twice). Hide
