Description

This stylish two bedroom property is part of a converted Methodist chapel located in the pretty hamlet of Rinsey, approximately one mile from the gorgeous sandy beach of Praa Sands and a five minute drive to the popular harbour town of Porthleven. No. 2 the Chapel was a former Methodist chapel, but now provides cosy and characterful accommodation with stunning countryside views.

The property is located in an idyllic countryside setting with a private sunny courtyard and only a short stroll to the picturesque beach at Rinsey Cove. Follow the South West coastal path West for 20 minutes and you will reach the golden sands of Praa Sands, a family friendly beach which is great for surfing. Less than 10 minutes by car is the historic site of St Michaels Mount; a small tidal island on Mount’s Bay with an imposing castle, accessed by a granite pebbled causeway at low tide.

Reviews

What a beautiful cottage! We have so enjoyed our stay here. Such a pleasure to be in a peaceful scenic area. Beautiful coastal walks in both directions right on the doorstep. We have also enjoyed the Cornish hospitality and tasty fresh cooked meals using local produce. Thank you Cornwall.

Previous Customer,

Such a lovely peaceful cottage, a great base to explore the wider area. We enjoyed many days out to local towns and attractions and it was great to be able to come back to such a cosy & well equipped cottage. Our first family holiday to Cornwall and certainly won't be our last!

Previous Customer,

We've really enjoyed our stay at No. 2, had a lovely relaxing stay. The cottage is fab, very cosy and has lots of little extras which have made it very welcoming. Perfect spot for exploring the sites. Thank you and hope to be back again soon!

Gail and J,

A wonderful place, a wonderful visit - can't wait to come back - wish it was closer! Thank you x

The Davies family,

This is a very calming place and we've had wonderful sunny days for cliff walks and paddling. Very well-equipped too!

Irene and G,

Our stay at 2 The Chapel was lovely. I loved the cottage and the garden was great. My family had so much fun in the cottage, we hope to come and stay here again.

Jess (Aged 1,

We loved our stay at 2 The Chapel. It was a lovely cottage. The beds were very comfy. I loved visiting St Michael's Mount.

Lucie (Aged 8,

Lovely stay at The Chapel, much changed from when I played table tennis in here as a child. Rinsey as ever is my favourite place for rest and relaxation, lovely walks, swims and exploring with the boys and seeing them building their appreciation for this beautiful part of Cornwall.

Previous Customer,

An excellent stay as always even though the weather was a bit rubbish. We braved the Eureka escape rooms in Penzance and had a great time, not tried it on previous visits. Rinsey Cove and Praa Sands as beautiful as ever on the good weather days.

The Morris family,

Our second visit to 2 The Chapel, lovely cottage and had a great two weeks. Fantastic weather so spent most of our days exploring Cornwall's beaches, favourites are Poldhu Cove, Godrevy (great surf) and of course Rinsey. Hope to be back again another year.

Previous Customer,

Lovely property.

Previous Customer,

A huge family gathering to celebrate an 80th birthday. We cooked, we drank, we walked, we laughed and renewed our family bonds. The house was an oasis of calm, and we loved it as ever. Thank you Janet!

Jude and P,

A lovely stay, thank you! The welcome of clotted cream and Cornish biscuits was very welcome! The kitchen had everything we needed and with a 2 year old we ate mostly at home! Such a beautiful spot and we really enjoyed the garden. Thank you!

Previous Customer,

Really loved it.

Previous Customer,

Lovely restful week. Thank you.

Jo and T

Map

Praa Sands (pronounced Pray or Prah) is a village and beach located a few miles north of Porthleven and a few miles south of Marazion (home of St Michaels Mount). Famed for its fantastic waves and glorious mile-long sandy beach, it is a popular destination for visitors. With a beach café, golf club, village shop and pub, Praa Sands is the perfect place for a relaxing beach holiday. As well as its own brilliant white sands, there are also two neighbouring beaches; Rinsey Cove and Kenneggy Cove.

Praa Sands is situated between the Lizard Peninsula (the most southerly point in the UK) and the far west of Cornwall, making it easy to explore both of these stunning areas. Head west and explore St Michael’s Mount and Land’s End and experience the amazing art scene and fabulous food of St Ives. Or head south to the rugged Lizard Peninsula and walk the spectacular South West Coast Path. There are many idyllic little villages to explore in this beautiful part of Cornwall.
