Mariners II has a wonderful beachfront location, with superb views across Mounts Bay and you can enjoy the salty sea air and the sounds of the waves from your cottage. The spacious and open plan lounge/dining area has magnificent sea views and is decorated in New England beach house style and there are two glass patio doors that lead to an outside sitting area. The beach has easy access steps a few feet away, so you a moments from making family seaside memories to treasure forever. The cottage is furnished beautifully in New England style furnishings and has two pairs of glass doors opening from the sitting room onto the sunny front patio. It also has its own private parking space which is rare in this location.
Porthleven is steeped in Cornish charm and tradition. Set in the middle of a huge sweeping bay, the beach at Porthleven is ideal for a relaxing family holiday. Porthleven has arguably the most impressive harbour in Cornwall, construction commenced during Napoleonic times and some sources state that it was built with the aid of French prisoners of war. Small fishing boats land their daily catch in Porthleven, much of which is sold in Porthleven cafes and restaurants and the award winning Quayside fishmongers. Don't forget to visit the Minack Theatre for a truly unique experience.

Great location, fabulous views, comfortable beds....what's not to like!
Have been to Mariners 2 on a number of occasions - always a joy to return
A fantastic house in a spectacular setting – makes a great base for exploring The Lizard and the far south-west.
A week in this lovely cottage is just not long enough, very comfortable, home from home! We love Porthleven and I'm sure we will return as it draws you back each time . . . many thanks for the wine and flower, and for sharing this lovely place with us.
Another lovely holiday in Mariners II, apart from the usual trips to Falmouth and Penzance, no need to venture far from Porthleven, it has all you could want. Mariners II is a wonderful base, we so look forward to each visit.
Everything we could wish for has been provided with this exquisite location and accommodation. Well done to the owners.
Second stay in this beautifully situated cottage – the sound of the waves is mesmerising, instant relaxation.
Set on the west coast of the spectacular Lizard Peninsula, the little harbour town of Porthleven is the quintessential Cornish fishing port. Centred around the harbour, it boasts an array of cafés, restaurants and galleries and exudes a chilled, relaxed atmosphere. Porthleven is the most southerly working port in the UK, with fishing boats operating out of the harbour. This makes the town a great spot to enjoy some delicious seafood, straight from the fishing boats to the restaurants, it couldn’t be fresher!
Porthleven beach can be accessed from the town itself and provides a long expanse of sand which is separated into segments by several rocky outcrops. While away the glorious summer days relaxing on the beach with a locally made ice cream in hand!
Situated part way along a huge sweeping bay, it faces the Atlantic Ocean and is often on the receiving end of some mighty winter storms! A fabulous destination for a winter break; marvel at the awe-inspiring waves pounding the harbour walls from the cosy safety of the local pub!
The surrounding area doesn’t disappoint either; located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the views from every cove or clifftop are picture-perfect. Travel north-west and you’ll reach Marazion, home of St Michael’s Mount – an absolute ‘must’. South takes you to the tip of the Lizard Peninsula, Lizard Point, one of Cornwall’s most iconic spots.
You won’t tire of the walks and stunning scenery, but if you fancy a day out, try the Seal Sanctuary, Flambards or Trebah Gardens. Or, go a little further afield and you can explore Penzance, Land’s End and St Ives.
