Contact with the office was very efficient. Beds were very comfortable and the view was lovely. The house was warm and welcoming on our foggy October break. Will use you again for another holiday. Thank you.
We loved our holiday in Porthleven. We found the Cornish people very helpful and friendly. Loved our holiday home, the view, the sound and the smell of the sea. Thanks very much.
Our first visit to Porthleven. Amazing wild waves and crashing spectacular seas - some very daring surfers outside the windows! The boys enjoyed the pool table and wii - great fun! The house was immaculately presented and very well equipped - perfect for a holiday. Really nice meal in Blue Haze just down the road. Great days out locally at St Michaels Mount and nearby beaches. A warm welcome from the housekeeper kicked off the holiday which was great from beginning to end! Thank you, we will be back next year!
Really lovely, well equipped house. Bed covers and pillows and beds so comfy. Thank you for not cutting corners on these things. Great layout for families - all really homely. Porthleven - gorgeous, a new discovery for me after 20 years of coming to Cornwall!
Stunning location, immaculate house, every need catered for. Amazing walks along coastal path! Totally relaxed and refreshed.
Very comfortable house. We are very familiar with Porthleven and still love it after almost 30 years of holidaying in this area. The Deli in the village is fab for lunch sandwiches and evening pizzas (you need to order in advance for pizza). Porthleven beach is quiet and convenient and perfect for families - rockpools, swimming. Maritime Museum at Falmouth is great.
We all had a fantastic time. Weather has been amazing. Porthleven is lovely and local people are really nice and friendly. Deli is excellent had pizzas one evening which were great. Amelies is really good and Kota is excellent, try the seafood chowder! To die for.... St Ives is very nice and also St Michaels Mount, cream tea overlooking the Causeway. A lovely holiday, a fabulous house which is very well equipped.
We have had a lovely week in this beautiful and very well equipped house. We have eaten many lovely meals sitting at the dining table overlooking the sea. The youngest member of our family (2 1/2 years) thought the books and lego were fantastic and the older members enjoyed a very raucous game of pictionary! Porthleven is as good as ever - this is our 4th year holidaying and we will be back again.
We have thoroughly enjoyed our holiday in this delightful Cornish village. Our stay has been very comfortable with gorgeous views from this superb house.
What a lovely house! We have had a superb holiday. The best equipped kitchen we have ever seen! Love the underfloor heating, could get used to that! A perfect home for 3 young couples and 2 babies.
What a wonderful house! We spent our first family Christmas here. home from home. Beautiful views, very well equipped house, lots of hot water and a friendly family atmosphere.
Set on the west coast of the spectacular Lizard Peninsula, the little harbour town of Porthleven is the quintessential Cornish fishing port. Centred around the harbour, it boasts an array of cafés, restaurants and galleries and exudes a chilled, relaxed atmosphere. Porthleven is the most southerly working port in the UK, with fishing boats operating out of the harbour. This makes the town a great spot to enjoy some delicious seafood, straight from the fishing boats to the restaurants, it couldn’t be fresher!
Porthleven beach can be accessed from the town itself and provides a long expanse of sand which is separated into segments by several rocky outcrops. While away the glorious summer days relaxing on the beach with a locally made ice cream in hand!
Situated part way along a huge sweeping bay, it faces the Atlantic Ocean and is often on the receiving end of some mighty winter storms! A fabulous destination for a winter break; marvel at the awe-inspiring waves pounding the harbour walls from the cosy safety of the local pub!
The surrounding area doesn’t disappoint either; located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the views from every cove or clifftop are picture-perfect. Travel north-west and you’ll reach Marazion, home of St Michael’s Mount – an absolute ‘must’. South takes you to the tip of the Lizard Peninsula, Lizard Point, one of Cornwall’s most iconic spots.
You won’t tire of the walks and stunning scenery, but if you fancy a day out, try the Seal Sanctuary, Flambards or Trebah Gardens. Or, go a little further afield and you can explore Penzance, Land’s End and St Ives.
