Description

Trevalley House is a delightfully bright characterful house in a lovely coastal setting, with spectacular views across the valley and out to sea. Sitting high above the golden sands of tidal Trebarwith Strand beach, Trevalley is perfectly located in this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty to explore the North Cornish coast at any time of year. The pretty village of Tintagel is nearby, with its famous castle steeped in myth and legend. A little further along the coast nestle the popular harbour villages of Boscastle and Port Isaac (the base for the Doc Martin TV series), with a wide choice of restaurants and traditional pubs. A short drive will find you at the popular Atlantic Ocean surfing beaches of Polzeath and Widemouth Bay, helping keen surfers, walkers or bird watchers get the most out of their stay. Well-known Padstow and Rock are about half an hour's drive away.

This spacious welcoming holiday home-from-home has a comfortable sitting room with woodburner. The attractive country kitchen/dining room with lovely oak beams leads to a sunny conservatory with stunning views. The stylish master bedroom has wonderful valley and sea views. Stairs lead down to a pretty twin bedroom and single bedroom, all served by a modern family bathroom. A further living area, accessed internally or via its own front door, provides a second twin bedroom with en suite shower room, and small galley kitchen. This extra space is ideal for grandparents, older teenagers, or when two groups are holidaying together. Of course smaller families can also book the house and enjoy the extra space for themselves.

French windows in the conservatory lead out to the lovely large South-facing terraced gardens, with pretty patio area and pond (unfenced so please take care with young children), where you can relax and make the most of the spectacular sunsets over the rugged coastline. On the garden level a games room with table tennis and pool table is a real bonus and will keep children happy for hours.

This property offers a small group discount of 20% on full weekly bookings for parties of 4 or fewer at certain times of the year. This discount is automatically applied and the holiday price you are quoted reflects this. If you have any questions, please call our friendly team on 01841 533331 or email cottages@cornishhorizons.co.uk for more information.

Reviews

Trevalley House looks lovely on the website but just wait until you see it 'in the flesh' so to speak! It's even better! :) Stunning location, beautiful gardens and outdoor areas and a very comfortable, clean and well-equipped interior. The owners also went out of their way to provide lots of really useful and detailed information which helped enormously to make this by far the best cottage-getaway holiday we've ever had. Can't recommend this property highly enough.

P Andrews,

Map

Set high on the rugged North Cornwall coast, Tintagel has dramatic sea views both from the castle ruins on the headland and island. This is a spectacular place, steeped in myths and mystery, and has inspired artists and writers throughout history who have associated it with the legend of King Arthur.

With a history stretching as far back as the Romans, Tintagel Castle is one of the most iconic visitor attractions in the south west- history is brought to life for families with fantastic events held throughout the year!

Nearby you will find beautiful coastal walks along the spectacular coastline, stunning sandy beaches such as Trebarwith Strand, Bosinney Haven and the popular surfing beach of Polzeath is just a short drive away.
