Description

Trembleath Parlour is a converted milking parlour situated on a working farm set in the rolling Cornish countryside. The property provides a peaceful base for family and friends to explore the many attractions that this popular area has to offer.  Surrounded by farmland, you will enjoy the tranquil setting whilst listening to birdsong and the animals in the neighbouring fields.  It is positioned about a 1 mile from the pretty village of St Mawgan which is home to a 13th century Parish Church, a pub serving locally sourced food, a craft shop and village store.  The beautiful, west-facing, award-winning beach of Mawgan Porth is just 2.9 miles away with its stunning scenery, wondrous walks, great surfing and acres of golden sands perfect for families and friends.

Entrance to Trembleath Parlour is up a small slope leading to the cottage which is all on one level and with a wide entrance door into the central hallway.  The accommodation has doors leading outside from each main room with external seating areas in two places to make the most of the sunshine throughout the day.  There are windows on all sides of the building ensuring frequent views of the surrounding countryside and plenty of natural daylight making this cottage a bright and comfortable place to stay.

Reviews

We loved staying in Trembleath Parlour. It was so peaceful. The owner, Penny was very friendly and made us feel very welcome. The parlour was incredibly spacious and very well equipped. In addition there are two seating areas outside which we enjoyed making use of. There is a great pub, The Falcon, in St Mawgan which does great food and we received a very warm welcome there. If ever we decided to visit the area again we would have no hesitation of staying at Trembleath Parlour again.

Mrs Susan D,

Very spacious and well-equipped accommodation in a lovely rural setting.

Mrs Juleen R,

Would love visit again. Had everything you needed .Loved the farm animals .Friendly owner.

Mrs Sandra M,

Kynance cove, St Micheal's Mount and the lost gardens of Heligan are amazing. In fact every beach we visited was stunning and beautiful, The beaches and scenery surpassed all our expectations.

Mrs Beverley B,

The cottage is perfect for family’s with children, no neighbors so the children can be just that. Working farm so the animals just walk on by. Large size kitchen with family table so cooking was a joy, I did have one night off! Short drive to the beach with a car park for £5 a day, this is my 2nd stay and hopefully not my last! The Circus was in town and what an amazing night that was talked about for days!

Mrs Kathleen C,

Map

If you're seeking a holiday in the archetypal picturesque country village, St Mawgan is an excellent destination. You can have lunch at the Falcon Inn, a traditional pub with a warm welcome and excellent menu, walk through leafy lanes, past the village green and cricket ground, visit the Japanese Bonsai Gardens and craft shop, and round the afternoon off with a delicious cream tea from the local Post Office and Tea Room.  You would never guess that it's a short drive from the town of Newquay or the nearby airport. Down the road, Mawgan Porth village gives you a complete contrast.  The rugged cliffs that border the sheltered sandy bay invite you to enjoy bracing cliff walks and eye-catching scenery.  If you get tired, you can stop for fish and chips, or a meal at the Merrymoor Inn.  There is also Merlin Golf Club, and a pitch and putt course for those looking for family fun!  The entertainment continues in the summer holidays with Mawgan Porth's Donkey Derby and the annual duck race- choose your (plastic!) duck and join in the fun! Nearby Bedruthan Steps is a further example of the dramatic and spectacular coastline for which the area is renowned.  When you've exhausted yourself with all these possibilities, why not pamper yourself with a luxury spa treatment at either the Bedruthan or Scarlet Hotels- you've earned it!
