Local Area

Padstow is arguably now one of the best-known of Cornwall's holiday destinations- a working harbour still retaining the character of the fishing industry while also managing to reinvent itself as a modern holiday destination. Padstow has so much to offer the discerning holiday maker, with several beaches along the Camel Estuary, where you can also have a go at a range of water sports such as sailing and windsurfing, as well as a variety of boat trips such as fishing excursions, speedboat rides, sea-life safaris and the ever popular Jubilee Queen. You can indulge your passion for food at an excellent selection of restaurants in the town, which is now the base for a number of celebrity chefs including Rick Stein and Paul Ainsworth.  If you're looking for more active pursuits, you can cycle the Camel Trail, the route of the old railway line running between Padstow and Bodmin.  If walking is more your thing, there are many walking trails and routes waiting to be discovered, and if you're bringing a dog, there are plenty of dog-friendly places to explore. Gaining popularity in recent years is the Padstow Christmas Festival, now spread over four days, with cookery demonstrations, food and craft market, and entertainment.

Amazing property, clean, well equipped and very comfortable. Would definitely book again.Mr David Shergold - 6th January 2019
Pipits is a wonderful property. Idyllic position overlooking the Estuary with lovely mature gardens – perfect for relaxing in the sunshine. Lovely not to have to find a parking space. The conservatory is a superb place to sit and relax– no need to venture out at all! Glenys Forman - 20th October 2018
Excellent location. So quiet and yet only a few minutes from the centre of Padstow. The views from the conservatory where amazing, we sometimes had to force ourselves to go out.Mrs Tracy Mirams - 18th September 2018
Excellent location, clean property.Mrs Sarah Martin - 30th July 2018

Garden excellent with spectacular views. Used Cornish Horizons many times, very reassuring.Seven bays area outstanding.Mr D Errett - 28th May 2018
Well looked after, very clean and well appointed throughout. Lovely to be able to sit in the sun looking out over the estuary while having a meal. Really enjoyed staying at Pipits for the Mayday celebrations. Mr N Hodges - 8th May 2018
Great location and view, and nicely equipped property. Mr Neil Channon - 30th April 2018
We absolutely loved this property! It was most comfortable, modern but homely, with excellent furnishings, equipment and the most superb view. We have been coming to Padstow area since 1980 and used Corninsh Horizons since the early 1990's and now at last we have found the perfect place to stay. The conservatory was a favourite place to sit and look at the every changing view. Having off street parking and the secure garage to put our bikes in was a bonus and we loved the garden too. We hope to return in the Autumn and will look at the availability. The only downside was we'd only booked a week instead of 2! Thank you .Mrs Stella Howe - 19th March 2018
Very nice property which is a 5-10 minute walk into town. The main bed is a little hard for our liking but will suit others. Cracking views from the conservatory. It will be top of our list when looking for accommodation in Padstow when we visit again. Mr Leon Hodges - 5th March 2018
Lovely cottage in an excellent location.Mrs Joanne Powell - 26th February 2018
Lovely property with fantastic viewsMrs Tanya Cronin - 21st February 2018
Great property in every way. Very thoughtful touches from the owners including the tree and gift. We loved the property and it was obvious that the owners invest in keeping the place in great order. The garden is lovely and the views exceptional. Mr Tim Cooper - 30th December 2017
We have stayed in a number of holiday rentals over the year, but Pipits has to be one of the most comfortable! The bed was particularly comfortable, which is often not the case. We love Cornwall and the Camel Estuary and loved being able to sit in the conservatory and enjoy looking over the estuary. A great find. Mrs Pauline Harris - 27th November 2017
Amazing property, perfect location, everything we could want in the property, beautiful, conservatory with views over the estuary, this did attract us to,stay here. Very quiet peaceful location , ideal to walk into Padstow, and not have to get the car out. We will recommend.Mr Stephen Martin - 13th November 2017
Absolutely beautiful property and fantastic location with amazing views. We had a wonderful holiday and would definitely return.Mr Morgan Williams - 5th September 2017
We were delighted with the standard of accommodation. I would recommend this property to anyone and hope to be back in the near future.Mr A Boreham - 9th August 2017
Beautifully presented property-a home from home with everything you could possibly need there for you. Excellent access to the Camel Trail and Padstow. Mrs F Lucas - 1st August 2017
Having stayed in several holiday cottages in and around Padstow over the last 20 years, we can say without shadow of a doubt that Pipits is by far the best. Modern, clean & homely coupled with a wonderful view down the estuary & around to the railway bridge & up to ‘crazy horses’. Stunning! We can highly recommend the walk up to Stepper Point, around to the Daymark Tower & on to Pepper Hole & Butter Hole for stunning views & a bit of fresh Atlantic breeze on a warm day. A perfect holiday home, we’ll definitely be back. Mrs Catherine Charnley - 24th June 2017
We have had the most wonderful holiday at Pipits. The location is perfect for walking, cycling, fabulous restaurants or just relaxing in the beautiful garden. The house is fantastic and the views are truly spectacular. We hope to return for another holiday. Mrs Louise CROWDER - 17th June 2017
Great location nice and quiet but only 5 min walk to the harbour with loads of eating and drinking places. Fantastic views to wake up to over the camel river. Well equipped and we'll presented property would highly recommend.Mr I Hardy - 5th June 2017
