Reviews

This was a fantastic cottage and my husband and I had a wonderful stay! Such a cosy cottage, so close to the town centre, and everything we needed was provided. Loved staying here, would not hesitate to do so again.

Mrs S,

Merryn Cottage was exactly as described. A fabulous location and deceptively roomy. We would definitely come back.

Mr David H,

We will continue to use Cornish Horizon to book our holidays as they are always so very helpful, we really enjoy staying at Merryn Cottage as it has everything we need and is right in the heart of Padstow.

Mr M H,

Lovely property, wonderful week.

Mr Carl H,

Excellent, very cosy, exactly what we expected. An old traditional fisherman's cottage but with a modern kitchen and bathroom, perfect.

Mr John S,

Map

Padstow is arguably now one of the best-known of Cornwall's holiday destinations- a working harbour still retaining the character of the fishing industry while also managing to reinvent itself as a modern holiday destination. Padstow has so much to offer the discerning holiday maker, with several beaches along the Camel Estuary, where you can also have a go at a range of water sports such as sailing and windsurfing, as well as a variety of boat trips such as fishing excursions, speedboat rides, sea-life safaris and the ever popular Jubilee Queen. You can indulge your passion for food at an excellent selection of restaurants in the town, which is now the base for a number of celebrity chefs including Rick Stein and Paul Ainsworth.  If you're looking for more active pursuits, you can cycle the Camel Trail, the route of the old railway line running between Padstow and Bodmin.  If walking is more your thing, there are many walking trails and routes waiting to be discovered, and if you're bringing a dog, there are plenty of dog-friendly places to explore. Gaining popularity in recent years is the Padstow Christmas Festival, now spread over four days, with cookery demonstrations, food and craft market, and entertainment.
