Description

A delightful and well equipped wing of this attractive bungalow in a quiet road on the edge of the town centre. With a warm, welcoming feel, it is ideal for couples looking for a home from home for their holiday. It is a great base for exploring this part of Cornwall as the town has the first bridge over the Camel estuary so within 5-10 miles' drive, you have the choice of a number of glorious sandy surfing beaches including Harlyn and Constantine Bay on the Padstow side of the river or Polzeath, near Rock, on the other. Tremill Lodge is a short step away from a number of restaurants, pubs and shops as well as a cinema.  The Camel Trail is also only a few minutes' walk and provides a level walk beside the picturesque river Camel to Padstow (4 miles) or up river to Bodmin and Dunmere Woods.  Alternatively, explore by bike, which can be hired at the entrance to the Trail or bring your own.

Local Area

The former market town of Wadebridge is another often-overlooked location, but is a great base for exploring many areas of Cornwall.  The Camel Trail links it with Padstow and Bodmin, and it is also close to villages such as Polzeath and Rock. Wadebridge itself is a lively town boasting many amenities including a cinema, several local pubs which offer live music and good atmospheres, and a unique mix of local shops and businesses which make it stand out from many other small towns. The town's position on the Camel Estuary also makes it a good prospect for water-sports such as water-skiing, canoeing and sailing. Another talking point is the town's recently-acquired status as one of the country's foremost 'eco-towns' -many local people are advocates of renewable energy such as wind and solar power.  This is largely down to the work of the Wadebridge Renewable Energy Network, whose aim is to make the town the first in Britain to be fully powered by renewable energy. Plenty of events take place in Wadebridge and surrounding area throughout the year, including the Royal Cornwall Show, and the popular Wadebridge Folk Festival.  There is also a beer festival in June, and The Big Lunch, a street party organised by the town's residents.

Lovely quiet place, well equipped and comfortable. Very convenient location.Mrs B - 30th July 2015
Tremill Lodge is excellently located for both Wadebridge town and the Royal Cornwall showground. It is comfortable, attractively decorated and suited our needs ideally. It is a perfect venue for two people offering home from home comfort. Jo is helpful and friendly and this year provided two keys to help us manage our different timetables at Creation Fest.Mrs B - 26th August 2014
Tremill Lodge is a really nice annex on the side of an adjoining B&B. My wife and I were looking for a comfortable place to spend our honeymoon in Cornwall which was child friendly for our 6 month old daughter and Tremill Lodge was the right choice. The owners were lovely and left us to our own devices, you hardly felt like you were staying in an annex but in a holiday cottage of its own. All three of us enjoyed our stay and Tremill Lodge is idealy situated at the top of Wadebridge high street so ideal to visit the shops. Wadebridge is slap bang in the middle of Cornwall and makes an ideal base for exploring. Would really come back and stay here again and heartily recommend others to do so.Mr B - 31st October 2013
