Step off the beaten track and straight into this stunning treetop cabin. Located among ancient oaks within a wellness retreat, it’s a high-end hideaway where peace and privacy are enhanced by an array of spa treatments and wellbeing sessions. It’s also a great base for those wishing to explore Cornwall’s coast and countryside – walk a mile to Mithian’s 16th-century inn, or 2 miles to secluded Trevellas Cove. St Agnes and its famous surfing hub, Trevaunance Cove, are within 3 miles. For a further choice of inns, eateries and shops, the county town Truro is 8 miles, home to an iconic Gothic Revival cathedral. The South West Coast Path offers plenty for walkers to enjoy. Head north to the golden sands of surfers’ paradise Perranporth Beach (4.5 miles), home to a pub on the beach. Or venture south to explore the lovely Porthtowan Beach, 5 miles.
Designed to prioritise together-time, the cabin has an open-plan layout with a comfortable sofa at its centre. A charming dining suite faces French doors which open onto the deck, so you can effortlessly move dinnertime outdoors, and a wood burner-effect electric fire adds after-dark ambience. Fashioned from reclaimed scaffolding boards, the kitchen houses all the must-haves for cooking up tasty dishes. Jump into the shower to freshen up before retiring for the night; a beautiful king-size bed is at the far end of the cabin – open the French doors that are alongside to let the outside in.
Decking runs the full length of the cabin; enjoy food and drinks alfresco with a stream winding below. You’ll also have access to peaceful walks and the nearby woodland, and can book a range of on-site treatments and experiences, which include yoga and meditation sessions, and relaxing massages and holistic facials. Parking is available 500 metres away.
