This fabulous reverse-level barn conversion is set within a peaceful complex of dog-friendly cottages in the small village of Duloe. Sleeping three over two tranquil bedrooms with space for up to two dogs, this property is perfect for couples or small families. Encompassed by 34 acres of private land, including two fully-fenced dog walking fields, a woodland walk and a shared hot tub and gym, this retreat promises both serenity and adventure.

The property has a fantastic blend of contemporary and traditional features throughout. The open-plan living area is filled with lights thanks to vaulted ceilings with exposed beams and stylish neutral interiors; curl up on the sofa in front of the wood burner in the living area and it’ll still feel nice and cosy in the evenings. Cook up a storm in the cottage-style kitchen and dine at the table or head out to the south-facing garden; you could even sizzle up a BBQ out here. Downstairs, the king-size and single bedrooms have calming decor with pops of colour to add some interest. The indulgent bathroom has a spa-like feel, and there’s also a handy additional WC. If the little one’s with you, take them on the fairy trail in the woods or to the natural play area. You can also meet the resident hens where they may even have laid some eggs for you.

Embrace the charm of nearby fishing villages, Polperro and Looe (both 5.5 miles), boasting picturesque harbours and popular independent restaurants. Embark on a boat trip to Looe Island to spot sunbathing grey seals. Talland Bay (4.5 miles) and Seaton Beach (11 miles) offer fun-filled days for the kids and dogs, and you can’t miss the world-renowned Eden Project (17 miles) with its tropical biomes and England’s longest zip wire.

We were so impressed by the cottage and the grounds. The location is great, the facilities are impressive and our dog absolutely loved it. We all agreed that a return to Old Lanwarnick is on the agenda
