This charming stone-built cottage is part of a Grade II listed building that was once a rectory and is now a comfortable, cosy hideaway. The kitchen/diner and comfy lounge with a woodburner-effect electric fire are both accessed via a few steps down, and the comfy bedroom on the mezzanine floor that overlooks the lounge area, is reached via a traditional staircase. The pretty outside area with garden furniture and a charcoal BBQ is a great spot for enjoying relaxing al fresco evening meals after a busy day exploring this beautiful part of Cornwall. There's a laundry room and a storage area for bicycles, surfboards and wetsuits that is shared with the three other properties on the complex, and one vehicle can be parked off-road.
The property is just 4 miles from the resort of Bude, with its gorgeous sandy beaches, secret coves and legendary surfing waves. There's also a range of breathtaking walks to be enjoyed: the South West Coast Path, 4 miles away, takes you past spectacular cliff formations, wrecks at low tide and the remains of the former tin industry of Cornwall. The charming picture-postcard village of Clovelly is just 11 miles from the property and a little further afield, 23 miles away, is the magical Tintagel of Arthurian legend.
