A cosy hideaway, that sits at the end of a private drive, located on the edge of the charming village of Kilkhampton, this is the ideal spot from which you can explore all North Cornwall and Devon.

This quirky, romantic one-bedroom split-level cottage with period features is reached via a private drive on the edge of the historic village of Kilkhampton, and is just half a mile from pubs and shops. It's also within 5 miles of lovely beaches, gorgeous coastal walks and the picturesque landscape of the Hartland Cornwall Heritage Coast. This is a delightful, welcoming cottage to come back to after a day exploring this beautiful corner of North Cornwall and its dramatic coastline.

This charming stone-built cottage is part of a Grade II listed building that was once a rectory and is now a comfortable, cosy hideaway. The kitchen/diner and comfy lounge with a woodburner-effect electric fire are both accessed via a few steps down, and the comfy bedroom on the mezzanine floor that overlooks the lounge area, is reached via a traditional staircase. The pretty outside area with garden furniture and a charcoal BBQ is a great spot for enjoying relaxing al fresco evening meals after a busy day exploring this beautiful part of Cornwall. There's a laundry room and a storage area for bicycles, surfboards and wetsuits that is shared with the three other properties on the complex, and one vehicle can be parked off-road.

The property is just 4 miles from the resort of Bude, with its gorgeous sandy beaches, secret coves and legendary surfing waves. There's also a range of breathtaking walks to be enjoyed: the South West Coast Path, 4 miles away, takes you past spectacular cliff formations, wrecks at low tide and the remains of the former tin industry of Cornwall. The charming picture-postcard village of Clovelly is just 11 miles from the property and a little further afield, 23 miles away, is the magical Tintagel of Arthurian legend.

This cottage would be fine as an extra bedroom when booking another cottage or cottages on the site, but is really a bit cramped for a week's stay for a couple on its own. It is none the less clean and well equipped, with friendly owners on site and access to excellent shared laundry facilities and gardens. A good location near several good pubs anRead mored shops, and for touring / walking in the area. Hide

Fabulous little conversion cottage. Very clean, modern and had a quaint feel to it. Perfect size for two people and the grounds were large enough for my little terrier dog to roam about. The only downside was that there wasn't a dog friendly pub in the village that served food, so it meant we had to go via car everywhere.

Charming accommodation I would say it was lovely & cosy. The bedroom was tight for space & stairs very steep. Lounge was small too we were 2 adults & a dog, fortunately the weather was good so ideal for a base to have days out. A beautiful rural setting to come back to unwind with 2 other accommodations joined to this property. I would visit again Read morebut would go for one of the larger accommodations. Lovely hosts I would recommend to family & friends. Hide

The Old Rectory and grounds were beautiful, we visited the calves every morning and evening in the field beyond the Haha wall whilst walking our dog. We took advantage of the Pizza parlour and Chip shop and New inn while there and can recommend all. A lovely holiday. Hide

We had a wonderful week at the Stables (19/6/23),, proper home from home. Clean and very comfortable for two. Kirkhampton is a short walk for any needs, highly recommend the steaks at the London Inn. Location was great for many attractions.
