Renovated in 2017, this beautifully styled single-level barn conversion offers comfy accommodation in a beautiful and secluded village in the heart of Cornwall. The cottage is just 3 miles from the stunning northern coast, with plenty of picturesque seaside towns and villages to discover, including St Agnes, Perranporth and Newquay, all within 7 miles. Both the rugged northern coastline (4 miles) and the picturesque southern coast (20 miles) are nearby.

This spacious, bright and inviting holiday home is a perfect base for a romantic retreat for a couple, or for a small family looking to explore the coast and countryside of Cornwall. Tastefully decorated and beautifully furnished, the cottage has a large enclosed garden, with communal access to a wonderful, extensive 10 acre site with a charming lake, which is ideal for enjoying a stroll, spotting wildlife and for walking dogs.

Goonhavern is ideally situated with a choice of fantastic surfing beaches including Perranporth (3 miles) and the five beaches of Newquay (7 miles). You can join the South West Coast Path at St Agnes and enjoy spectacular sea views, delightful coves and quaint harbours, stopping off along the way at some of the local restaurants and inns. The vibrant city of Truro, ideal for shopping and steeped in history, is 8 miles away. Among the many attractions within 20 miles are the Lappa Valley Steam Railway, Screech Owl Sanctuary, Oasis Fun Pool and the Lost Gardens of Heligan. The Eden Project is 23 miles away.

  • Off-road parking for two cars directly outside the property.

  • Beach 3 miles, shop, pub, garden centre and restaurant within walking distance
  • Please be aware the property is situated on large grounds with an unfenced deep lake for your enjoyment, children and dogs to be supervised at all times
  • Travel cot and highchair available
  • Only accepts dogs - no other pets
  • This property will be decorated for Christmas
  • Arrival: 17:00 onwards
  • Departure: before 10:00, unless otherwise stated in your arrival details
  • 2 dogs allowed. Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week
  • There is an Accidental Damage Deposit of £200 when booking at this property, however this may be waived for £25. We’ll provide more details about this when booking your holiday.

superb cottage with a 10 acre wildlife area , including a pond with herons, deer etc that is private for guests only. only one other cottage so we usually had it to ourselves. cottage very well equipped indeed and owners very helpful. Large enclosed garden for our dog

Had a fabulous time at the cottage. Only negative for us was the lack of WiFi, but you could connect at the top of the drive.

Lovely setting, very peaceful, with nice walks around the grounds of the farm. Very clean and tidy holiday let. Dawn and Richard are great hosts and ensured that we had everything we needed for our stay

This is a wonderful cottage for people who are disabled it is well equipped with everything plus that you could want on holiday wonderful garden and the cottage owners could not have been more friendly and welcoming and helpful throughout your stay had a wonderful holiday

We had a lovely week at Honeysuckle Cottage. The cottage was really clean and well-equipped, the garden was lovely and the grounds were great for a short evening stroll with the dogs. The owners live on site and were available if they were needed but were not intrusive.

Spotlessly clean . Great location . Hate the late check in time as its a day from your holiday wasted . Understandable in the pandemic but not now .

We had a wonderful week in honeysuckle cottage, it is immaculately clean with quality fittings and is extremely warm and comfortable. The oven, dishwasher and washer drier are in perfect condition, with a good shower and useful night lights. Dawn and Richard really care that you relax and enjoy your holiday, with lovely scones, cakes , fresh eggs aRead morend milk to welcome you on arrival. The secure well-lit garden is huge and there is a lovely private walk too. We will definitely return thankyou both! Hide

Lovely place to stay, home from home and a good place to explore the local area. Owners made us very welcome and it was a nice touch with homemade scones and cake on our arrival. Would definate recommend.

Our stay at Honeysuckle Cottage was amazing. The cottage was immaculate and comfy, the dogs loved the large enclosed garden, as did we. Dawn and Richard were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Dawn made cakes, scones, homemade jam and clotted cream for our arrival, even going to the trouble of making a gluten and dairy free one for myself aRead morend my daughters partner.
