Steeped in maritime and smuggling history, the area around Mullion Cove is renowned for its fantastic climate, and it's here that you'll find a complex of five delightful rural properties, one of which is Pheasants Walk. Whether you crave a spot of sunbathing in one of the pretty coves, a bracing walk along the rugged Lizard coastline or a dip in the shared outdoor heated pool, this converted barn will be your home-from-home.
The interior embraces comfort and simplicity, blending cool blues and muted tones that make each room calming and cosy. Roomy sofas in the lounge provide enough space for all the family to get together and settle down with a film for the evening. Outside, the pool is open during warmer months and is set amongst scenic farmland, with sheep, chickens and horses roaming nearby fields. Rustle up a picnic in the country-style kitchen and take a wander around the 23-acre grounds, where you'll find play and picnic areas.
Don't miss the spectacular coast path along the Lizard Peninsula. You can pick it up a mile from the cottage and walk the 8 miles to the National Trust's Lizard Point. For a more relaxing day on the beach, a mile away is the pretty Poldhu Cove. The bustling village of Mullion is great for shops and seafood restaurants with Mullion Cove another mile further on. The intriguing clifftop experience of the Minack Theatre is 30 miles away and certainly worth the drive.
