There aren't many holiday cottages that can boast their own climbing wall, play barn, and indoor heated swimming pool. Shared with its neighbour, Skiber Long, you could always book both cottages and get the whole family involved. Set on a working farm just 6 miles from the historic town of Launceston, the house offers river fishing onsite; with so many activities available back at base alongside the incredible Cornish landscape to explore, you'll never find it hard to plan a full-filled day for all the family.
The farmhouse-style kitchen is separated from a cosy living area by charming exposed beams, which continue throughout the property. Situated on the upper floor, taking advantage of lush country views, the living area also opens out to a balcony. Down in the shared gardens below, you will find the perfect spot for an evening BBQ; dine alfresco on warm summer evenings, while the kids make a splash in the pool. At the end of the day, sink into a bubble bath in the roll-top tub then crawl into bed for a good night's sleep.
Fishing on the River Inny is a highlight for keen anglers. You are also 18 miles from the pretty southern harbour of Looe, and Polperro (22 miles away). If you're keen to give surfing a go, a 30-mile drive will take you up to the rugged coastline of North Cornwall. Days out include the fascinating National Marine Aquarium and bracing walks across Dartmoor National Park, both within 25 miles.
