Property code: LPENC

Set just inland from the picturesque Cornish coastline, this bijou barn conversion cottage lies in a part of the county steeped in history, mysticism, and folklore – a characterful romantic retreat for two. The historic harbour town of Boscastle is just 2.5 miles away and is easily accessible by car or on foot via the South West Coast path which can be joined within 0.5 miles of the property's front door.

One-of-two cottages at this tranquil farmland location, Little Pennycrocker is an attractive blend of traditional and contemporary styles. The beamed ceiling and areas of exposed stonework in the open-plan living space lend a charmingly authentic country atmosphere to the cottage, whereas details such as the sleek and spacious shower room and the cosy wood burner-effect fire have been added to ensure that guests do not have to forego any creature comforts.

Compared to the bustling seaside resort of Bude, 12 miles to the north of this property, and the fashionable foodie centre of Padstow 27 miles to the south, the area surrounding this property has a raw and rugged feel to it which is immediately pleasing to visitors who have a taste for dramatic scenery and chequered histories. Head along the coast to Boscastle with its Museum of Witchcraft and on to the ruins of Tintagel Castle, 10 miles away, where visitors can explore the atmospheric castle and the mysterious Merlin's Cave.

Lovely cottage in a superb location. Very friendly and accommodating owners. Approach lane to cottage very narrow. Cottage would benefit from some minor improvements.

Once again we found yet another bolt hold away where we could go time and again. The owner has this cottage down to a tee, there for you when you need them and out of site when not needed. So if you are looking for a place to go for a relaxing holiday with places on your doorstep this is the one . We found most places are about 2hrs drive like landRead mores end, Plymouth. But equally short drives, plenty of lovely walks around and super lovely beaches as well. Hide

Lovely views from this warm cosy cottage, very comfortable bed and good kitchen. Sofa was a bit small for both of us to curl up with a good book, would have been good to have cushions on the window seat to use that. Boscastle farm shop just down the road served all our food needs
