Go surfing at Widemouth Bay or any of Bude's (within 15 miles) excellent beaches. Tintagel with its famous castle is 7 miles south and carry on past that to reach Port Isaac, Doyden castle and the small seaside resort of Polzeath (all under 20 miles). The famous Eden Project makes for a great day out otherwise explore Bodmin Moor and wander Bodmin Jail (all 20 - 30 miles away).
