This beautifully renovated character cottage lies on the outskirts of St Just village in West Cornwall. Surrounded by old tin mines and engine houses, this pet friendly property is the perfect base for exploring this historic part of Cornwall, which is becoming ever more popular with holidaymakers. The Queens Arms pub is located just 100 metres from the cottage, ideal for quenching your thirst after a day on your feet.

St Just village, approximately one mile from the property, offers a great selection of traditional pubs, restaurants and shops for convenience. This historic town used to be the mining centre of this Cornish peninsula, evident from the abundance of disused engine houses which dot the landscape. Unsurprisingly, it is a popular filming location for the TV series Poldark, so if you’re lucky you might even spot the cast filming nearby.

We had a wonderful stay and the cottage was so comfortable and clean and in a stunning location. Thank you for a lovely, relaxing holiday at Crown Mine Cottage.

Mrs Rosemary S,

The cottage is at the heart of the tin mines, 2 minutes outside the door. Village pub is excellent, food, drinks and people, wonderful and very dog friendly. On bus route, outside your door.

Mr Dennis H,

The holiday cottage was fantastic and the cream tea was a lovely surprise, The area is so beautiful and we had some wonderful walks.

Previous Customer,

Beautiful cottage in a great location close to the coast path. Great for couples and their dogs who enjoy walking. Local pub is friendly and serves good food. Excellent bus service so a car is not essential whilst staying there.

Ms Christine J,

Great value, especially when compared to the prices at nearby St. Ives!

Mr Kevin M,

Loved it. Had a great time. Really enjoyed our holiday in Cornwall. Cornish Horizons took great care of us and we quick to respond to any of our queries and concerns.

Lindy Y,

This is the second year I have stayed in the cottage and found it to be very comfortable and cosy. Had everything I needed. I love the area which is the main reason for being here again, the stunning scenery, the tin mines and loads of nice places to visit.

Janet B,

The cottage was situated 5 minutes from the wonderful, wild cliffs of Bottalack where there was easy access to the South West costal path. This was a great bonus as we did not require the car much at all. Also there was the excellent Atlantic Coast open top bus service which stopped regularly 2 minutes from the cottage. St. Just which is approx. 5 minutes by car is a lovely village with plenty of places to eat and is of historical importance to the region. Lots of places to explore which are easily accessed by foot especially if you are interested in the rich history of the tin mining industry.

Mr Stephen B,

A fantastic cottage, a great find! Perfect for coast path walks with the dogs. Really enjoyed our stay, food lovely at the Queens Arms down the road and so friendly. Will be back.

What a great little cottage. Perfect for a couple. Everything was functional and welcoming. Super clean and a fully equipped kitchen. We had a great time and the area is gorgeous. Loads of nice walks, quick drive to most places worthy of visiting like St. Ives. It was all like we had expected and hoped for. Would go back for sure! Thank you.
