PROPERTY NAME: WATCH HOUSE

PROPERTY CONSTRUCTION: A granite reverse level property

PARKING: No allocated parking. The nearest long stay is the Island Car Park.

ACCESS TO PROPERTY: The property is set back from the harbour in Victoria Place. The nearest drop off points for unloading are either The Wharf, Mount Zion or Island Square. From The Wharf there are 5 steps to Mount Zion, a cobbled fairly steep incline, leading to a tarmac pathway to Watch House. From Island Square a fairly steep tarmac path leads down to the entrance.

PROPERTY ACCESS: There are 5 steps with a handrail to the left hand side. A further small threshold step to enter.


PROPERTY INFORMATION:

STAIRS/STEPS: There is a staircase to the first floor which has a handrail to the right. The stairs have variable risers (7ins to 9ins) with narrow goings.

FLOORING: On the ground floor, the hallway and bedrooms are all carpetted. There are rugs in places. The bathrooms have a lino floor covering. On the first floor, the living area is carpetted with a carpet edge strip to the lino kitchen floor. There is a carpet strip on a slightly raised lip between the living area carpet and the landing.

BEDROOMS: The bunk beds have a fixed ladder.

DUVETS AND PILLOWS: Synthetic

BATHROOMS: The ground floor bathroom has a fixed shower screen and grab rails on either side of the bath. The first floor bathroom has a handled shower attachment to the bath taps and grab rails to each side of the bath. There is a partial sloping roof to the left of the W/C.

LIVING AREA: The blind on these windows have a pull cord to operate.

Just a few yards from the Wharf, Watch House is located in a traffic free area, this reverse-level accommodation boasts great views from most of the rooms and includes a lounge which is steeped in maritime history, the walls are paneled with wood from the SS Alba which floundered on the Island in 1938. Below this property is Watch House Lower flat which can be booked together for larger families.

Five steps take you up to the front door:

FIRST FLOOR:
Bedroom 1: Double bed (4'6") with chest of drawers and wash basin.
Bedroom 2: Twin beds (3') with bedside cabinets and TV.
Bedroom 3: Bunk beds (3'), single bed (3') with bedside cabinet.
Bathroom: Bath with shower over, basin, w.c.
Utility area: Sink and washing machine

SECOND FLOOR:
Lounge/Kitchen/Diner: TV and DVD player, electric fire, gas cooker, microwave and fridge/freezer and harbour views.
Bathroom 2: Bath, basin, w.c.

PARKING: No allocated parking. Nearest Public Car Park is The Island

Changeover Day: Saturday - arrival 7:00pm - departure 9:00am.
Power and Heating: Heating and electricity included in the rent. Centrally heated.

St Ives

St Ives is one of Cornwall's top destinations and a beautiful seaside town where visitors can enjoy a traditional beach holiday with a twist. St Ives also has four fabulous beaches, Porthmeor, Porthgwidden, Harbour beach and Porthminster which between them offer miles of golden sand and hours of building sand castles, playing in the rock pools and other family friendly activities. Dogs are welcomed out of season. Throughout the year, St Ives has a busy event calendar including the St Ives Food & Drink Festival in May and a Music & Arts Festival in September.
