Property code: OC-TWP32

This elegant period property sits in a quiet cul-de-sac location, perfectly placed for families and friends wanting to access the centre of St Ives with ease. From here you can reach the ancient harbour and the pretty beaches within half a mile, before retiring to the character charm of this welcoming seaside retreat. Inside the property boasts plenty of space for up to six guests to relax, whilst outside the spectacular coastal views are showcased from a delightful elevated deck.

From the entrance hall, step into the impressive, open-plan lounge diner, which is spacious and attractive, featuring colourful artworks and homely features, such as the ornamental fireplace and exposed brick wall. It is a fantastic social space together for mealtimes and to relax in the evening. The compact galley kitchen has been carefully considered and offers all you need to comfortably cater for your stay. On the first floor, the pretty bedrooms also offer far-reaching views; one room has twin beds and the other a king-sized bed. Both share use of the family bathroom. Up again to the second floor via a narrow cottage staircase and you’ll find the attic room with twin beds, an ensuite shower room and even more spectacular coastal views that stretch across to Godrevy Lighthouse. Outside, the patio and deck can be reached through the lounge/diner and the kitchen. The deck boasts yet more views and is a lovely spot to sit and enjoy the sunshine.

Perfectly placed to enjoy all of the local attractions St Ives has to offer, from the property you can find yourselves on Harbour Beach within a half mile, or just 1 mile away you can also enjoy the white sands of Porthmeor, a renowned beach thanks to all the artwork it’s inspired. Families can embark on seafaring adventures too; the coastal cruises you can pick up at the harbour are a chance to spot seals and dolphins in their natural habitat. Or if you’re in need of a culture hit, the Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden is a beautiful outdoor space featuring her iconic sculptures.

The cottage was ideal for our family of five. Its very handy for the town and beaches. It was mostly well-equipped, though we did have to buy one or two things that weren't provided. There was a good selection of books, games and puzzles for a rainy day.

Weve stayed here before and had to return again, the house is amazing with such character, and in an excellent location and such good value for a relatively big house in St Ives!
