Tucked away behind the unassuming bright blue door of Ponckle’s Place on Back Road East, lies this gorgeous hidden gem of a property. Whilst in a former life it was used as a sail loft for the local fishing industry, it has been delightfully transformed into a chic holiday apartment decorated and furnished with the coast in mind. With the famous St Ives magical daylight flooding in through the high velux windows in the sitting room, luxurious facilities to ensure your comfort and a roomy, sociable living space to enjoy late brunches or long suppers whilst taking time out from your busy life routine.
Just one step down into the apartment then it’s all on one level so you can move through at ease. Each bedroom has been thoughtfully designed to provide both comfort and style and the zip’n’link bed options offer flexibility. The deluxe bath will just call out to you to fill it with bubbles and enjoy a relaxing soak whilst catching up on your holiday reading. There’s a wonderful kitchen with all mod cons if you want to cook up a feast, or if not, then there’s a host of eateries awaiting you just moments away, all within walking distance.
People fall absolutely in love with St Ives and this apartment is one you’ll want to return to time and again. Perfectly located just a couple of minutes’ walk to Smeaton’s Pier, the harbourside, the golden beaches and turquoise waters of Porthgwidden and Porthmeor, the Tate Gallery, and the lesser-known Bamaluz Beach (dog-friendly all year). St Ives town is a delight to explore. With its narrow streets, the higgledy-piggledy cottages in pretty colours, the coastal views peeping through the gaps between buildings as you meander along and the range of independent local shops selling delicious produce and crafts - there’s so much to tempt you.

St Ives is one of Cornwall's top destinations and a beautiful seaside town where visitors can enjoy a traditional beach holiday with a twist. It's easy to understand why the town has been attracting painters, sculptors and ceramists for decades with its stunning scenery and natural quality of light- one of only four Tate Galleries in the world is located here in the heart of the town. The town itself arcs around the working harbour- the heart of the historic fishing community. You could lose yourself for hours in the charming cobbled streets which are crammed with gift and craft shops, art galleries, top notch restaurants and welcoming local pubs- a real treasure trove just waiting to be explored!
St Ives also has four fabulous beaches, Porthmeor, Porthgwidden, Harbour beach and Porthminster which between them offer miles of golden sand and hours of building sand castles, playing in the rock pools and other family friendly activities. Dogs are welcomed out of season. Throughout the year, St Ives has a busy event calendar including the St Ives Food & Drink Festival in May and a Music & Arts Festival in September.
