A great choice for a holiday at the heart of all the action, this coastal cottage is just moments from St Ives’ lively harbour. Located on a quiet lane close to Porthmeor Beach, this two-bedroomed holiday home is perfect for a couples’ escape to central St Ives.

Granite steps lead up from the quiet lane to the porch; step inside and on the ground floor you’ll find a pretty kitchen with all the self-catering must-haves. There is also a lounge/diner where – if you can tear your gaze away from the sea view – you can curl up on the sofa to watch a favourite movie. Stairs from the kitchen lead to the first floor where there are two inviting double bedrooms – one with a sea view – and a stylish tiled shower room.

While there is no outside space at the cottage, St Ives Harbour is just a few steps from your front door – at low tide, there’s a sheltered, sandy beach here while the wharf beside it has a fine selection of shops, pubs, cafes and galleries. Much of today’s harbour trade involves boat trips and fishing; walk to Smeaton’s Pier, still a place of work for the local fishermen. Follow the South West Coast Path around The Island – a headland which juts out into St Ives Bay and is home to the ancient St Nicholas’ Chapel – and you’ll reach the pristine sands of Porthmeor Beach, popular year-round with surfers and swimmers. Above it, the stunning Tate St Ives art gallery celebrates West Cornwall’s connection to the art world.

Hand wash in the bathroom would be a nice touch and there was no cheese grater this year but overall a fabulous property

Toby Cottage is a great location with parking a short walk away. The cottage is comfortable and well equipped with great views.

This property is very central as it is over the Post Office at the bottom of Fore Street and facing the jetty into the harbour. The bathroom is very nice and the shower is great, the bedrooms have everything you need and you have an added bonus of a sea view on to the harbour. I would stay here again.

This is a lovely property with all the facilities you could ever wish to have, very comfortable beds. Having a parking space is just another bonus.

Excellent location. With all the equipment you could need. Great benefit to have a Dishwasher, Washing Machine and Tumble Dryer. Great Property.
