Step out and wander straight down on to sandy Porthmeor Beach from this modern apartment in St Ives. Sleeping four guests, the one-bedroom bolthole is perfectly positioned for anyone seeking to be close to the sea. Also located right on the South West Coast Path and beside the green headland known as the Island, the ground-floor apartment could suit keen walkers and wildlife enthusiasts.

Let yourselves in, leaving your beach sandals or hiking boots in the hall. Head through to the lounge/kitchen/diner at the heart of the apartment. Here you will find a comfortable sofa that can also be transformed into a double bed for two guests. Cater for your small party in the kitchen area then dine together at the table. Spend your evenings in front of the Smart TV or chatting and listening to music via the Bluetooth sound system. The main bedroom has twin beds and there is a family bathroom. There is no outside space with the apartment but with the beach and Island close by there is plenty of opportunity for relaxing out in the fresh air. The property does have the much sought-after benefit of a parking space for one car.

Enjoy swimming and surfing from Porthmeor Beach, which is know for its great waves. Alternatively, while away sunny days on Porthminster Beach, 0.5 miles away, where you can also go sea kayaking or have a go at sand-up paddle boarding. Bamaluz Beach is also just 350 metres from the apartment. Wander 500 metres to find colourful bars, cafes and galleries, as well as places to buy fresh Cornish produce. Tate St Ives is just 350 metres from your base and the Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden is 500 metres away. Book boats trips from the harbour, also 500 metres from the apartment.

The location of the property is the main selling point. The property is good size and well equipped. We liked the decor and the attention to detail (art was beautiful and not just commercial cheesy beach paintings, books were interesting and helpful etc) The furniture was of good quality and comfortable. There were only a few points to note - thereRead more were parts that werent clean (i.e. lamp in the kitchen was greasy and sticky, cob webs on lampshades and in corners etc) We were there over Easter and it was quite cold at night as the quilts were thin. There was extra quilts and pillows but no extra linen so we couldnt use it. And though having an allocated parking space is amazing in St Ives, please note that the space is very tight. Our car is average size and there were times when Id park the car and not be able to get out of the space. These are all small things that can be easily fixed. Other than that, we had an amazing holiday and will definitely return to 49 St Nicholas Court and recommend it to anyone who will listen. Hide

Easy booking system, kept me informed by text and email, with all instructions for cottage. The cottage was well equipped with plenty of cooking utensils, plates, glasses cups etc. Very comfortable bed and furnishings. Free Wifi, and BT internet and Netflix, very impressed. Overall a lovely holiday. The only downside was that the parking spaceRead more was very tight, on the last day I had to literally climb over my car bonnet to get to the drivers door, (Im 65 !!) no space to walk between cars or walls. We did park it on the island for a few nights prior to this. apart from this, - overall 5 star thank you Hide
