The St Agnes area has many different beaches to offer...
Guests can choose from lots of great sandy beaches nearby including Chapel Porth, Trevellas Porth, Porthtowan and Trevaunance Cove (also known as Aggie Beach).
Porthtowan is one of the UK's top surfing beaches, bordered by soft white sand and rolling dunes. There are plenty of walks in and around Porthtowan. You can go up either side of the beach and discover the cliffs both towards Portreath or back towards Chapel Porth.
Parking: There is a large car park close to the beach, plus some road parking.
Toilets: Yes, located in Porthtowan car park.
Facilities: There are a number of shops, cafes and bars near Porthtowan beach.
Safety: Lifeguards operate daily from May to September. However, I would advise checking this beforehand.
Dogs: Dogs are banned on this beach from Easter Sunday until 30th September inclusive but can be taken onto it from 1st October to Easter Saturday. I would advise checking this information beforehand to ensure these rules haven't changed.
Trevaunance Cove is a popular choice for families. With the old harbour and a labyrinth of caves to explore, there's plenty to keep the kids entertained and at low tide there is the opportunity to walk to the neighbouring beach of Trevellas Porth.
Parking: 1 small car park by Trevaunance Cove beach and 1 small car park a 5 minute walk away.
Toilets: Yes, at Trevaunance Cove.
Facilities: There is a beach shop, cafe and restaurant at Trevaunance Cove.
Safety: Cliffs are sometimes crumbly, and a lifeguard service operates daily from May to September. Although, again I would check this beforehand.
Dogs: Dogs allowed all year at Trevaunance Cove, however again I would advise checking this beforehand.
