Early in the 1930's two local Cornish families were joined together when a young Trenoweth and a young Pender were married and bought a cottage in Mousehole to start life together. They never moved again and now their granddaughters take loving care of the house they used to visit when they were little.

Tre-Pen has authentic items which hint at its fishing history, original art and limited edition prints giving an insight into the family that lived there and the history of their beloved village. The interior is now a perfect blend of traditional and modern providing comfortable accommodation right in the heart of the village with a nice sitting out area close to everything Mousehole has to offer.

Downstairs is completely open plan featuring a neat kitchen, original granite fireplace and a traditional family dining table. Upstairs is a double bedroom with sea views to St Clement's Isle and Mount's Bay. The other bedroom is a single with a window seat and the same fab views. There is a fantastic modern bathroom with walk in shower.

It's a short walk to the harbour, small beach, pub, restaurants and galleries of Mousehole and just a 5 minute drive to Newlyn, with Penzance just a little further and St Ives, Land's End and many other great locations nearby.

We arrived in wild weather and left in glorious sunshine, both bought something different and magical to this beautiful, cosy cottage. A friendly welcome before we even got home and a delightful find with the cream team and flowers. Thank you again. Lots and lots to do in the area and many fantastic views to take your breath away. We had a lovely trip to Minack Theatre to watch the very reasonable priced 'storytelling' for children. A spectacular setting! Great places to eat and, if you head to Penzance, it's well worth popping into the fantastic Admiral Benbow pub on Chapel Street. Thanks again for a lovely visit!

Previous Customer,

It is lovely property. Very comfortable just right for us. Recommend Newlyn Tyres for any problems with the car - first class service. Mackerel Sky/Gurnards Head/Rosemergy Cream Teas/Old Coastguards/Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens all great places for food. Newlyn Gallery/The Exchange Very friendly galleries.

Mr John M,

Lovely place and the owners are very friendly and could not do enough to ensure we had a great time.

Mr Malcolm M,

Very enjoyable holiday blessed with great weather. Great views from the cottage especially upstairs. Beautiful part of Cornwall. Recommend '2 Fore Street' restaurant. P.S. we loved Jill the tortoise!

Bob and J,

The holiday cottage is warm and cosy and in an excellent location in Mousehole. Ideal for the harbour and restaurants. Mousehole is a beautiful Cornish harbour village with a regular bus service into Penzance.

Mr A C,

Thank you for a lovely stay, the cottage is beautiful, full of charm and we enjoyed the cream tea that was kindly left for us. Thank you

Antony & M,

Dear Fran and Ruth - Thank you for a wonderful few days in your lovely cottage. We love the views from the bedrooms and also the old table and chairs! I'm to glad that we were able to book Tre Pen at short notice. We will definitely stay here again the next time we are in Cornwall.

Thank you Fran and Ruth for our loely relaxing stay at your comfy, cozy cottage. All so lovely, near to the village and we didn't expect the sea view from the bedroom. Flowers and scones and jam a lovely touch! Thinking of booking again for next year!

Irene and L

We have had a good week in Mousehole - it's the perfect base for coastal walking in beautiful West Cornwall! The cottage is well equipped and comfortable, and it was good to be able to park at Fran's. Many thanks to you from Dan & Mandy. The cream tea was most welcome - thank you.

What a beautiful cottage in an idyllic location. We have totally fallen in love with this place. Firstly, the cottage - gorgeous decor with lovely cushions and warm blankets. The open plan downstairs works really well and the kitchen is well equipped (although there are so many lovely places to eat out). Gorgeous beds that you will struggle to get out of because they are so comfortable. And that view when you open the curtains. Fabulous.
