Originally named Lowen Chy, but locally known as The Lifeboat House due to its close associations with the Penlee lifeboat. Spread over three floors, this beautifully decorated property boasts breathtaking views across Mount's Bay from the living room and master bedroom.
Entering the cottage from the small enclosed courtyard, you will find the master bedroom with en-suite and a huge bay window with magnificent sea views over St Clement's Isle and out towards St Michael's Mount. This bedroom contains a king-sized bed and generous built-in wardrobes. The spacious en-suite bathroom has a bath with rainfall shower over, and there is a cupboard containing the washing machine, and a separate drying cupboard. There is also a separate wc on this floor.
Upstairs, the first floor is the main living space with open plan kitchen/dining room/living room. The living area is light and tastefully decorated with comfy sofas, TV, beautiful large woodburner and those spectacular views across Mount's Bay through another huge bay window. There is a dining table with seating and a very well-equipped shaker-style kitchen.
The lower ground floor comprises of a pretty double room (can be made into twin beds on request) and its own well-appointed en-suite shower room. A doorway from this lower hallway leads to the rear courtyard, which has pedestrian access through to the harbour and beach front.

A lovely house, very well localed and with an amazing view!!!
We enjoyed our stay at The Lifeboat House. The location in this part of Cornwall was perfect for us to enjoy the most dramatic parts of the SW Coast-Path and to then enjoy the views of Mounts Bay when returning back to base.
We’ve stayed in many properties over the years and this was by far the best. The property was very clean and well equipped. We’d stayed over new year and the property was always warm. We liked it so much we rebooked on the 2nd day of our stay.
Lovely property, homely and welcoming. Fantastic views. Parking in harbour car park not a problem. Pub five minute walk with good food, and 2 Fore Street restaurant a must visit for foodies, but need to book.
We had a wonderful stay in The Lifeboat House. The view was breathtaking! It has all the thoughtful touches to make sure you feel at home. The scones on arrival were very much appreciated too! The house is in a super location in Mousehole, convenient for the harbour and local amenities - Mrs J
