Description

Just 100 metres from Mousehole harbour sits Even Keel Cottage; a beautiful and traditional stone cottage that has been sympathetically restored to offer guests a charming holiday home to enjoy in a truly idyllic harbour.  The property oozes character and original attributes such as whitewashed stone walls and a feature Cornish Range in the living room and also has famous links as it was the cottage used by author Antonia Barber and illustrator Nicola Bayley to depict the home of Tom Bawcock and Mowser in the hugely successful "The Mousehole Cat".

You will find a good selection of places to eat and drink in the village, making this the perfect base for a relaxed holiday.  For a more active break, the south west coastal path in this area of Cornwall offers dramatic scenery with rugged cliffs and historical landmarks and for beach lovers, make a trip West to Porthcurno where you’ll find stunning turquoise waters and fine white sand – simply paradise. Perched on the cliffs above Porthcurno is the Minack theatre; an open aired theatre which offers an entertaining afternoon for the whole family.
