Reviews

What an amazing find!! From the instant of walking through the door Carvossa ticked every box for us and boxes we didn’t even know we had!! Spotlessly clean but not to the point that you’re frightened to relax with a glass of wine or two with your feet up. The kitchen was a joy to cook dinner in, despite my protests that holidays were made for eating out I was secretly chuffed to do so. The bed was comfy and it was beautiful to hear the sea as we drifted off to sleep. Perfect morning light flooding in to let us know it was time for a quick walk along the beach before breakfast. The bathroom was an absolute dream and the little 'shower cave' was fun to use. The location is perfect for a relaxing get away or to use as a base for exploring. Pubs, restaurants and cafes nearby and bus stop just a few steps away. Cannot recommend this magical little cottage enough, but shhhhh don’t tell everybody as we want to be able to book again!

Previous G,

Writing this on behalf of my parents who stayed at Carvossa - We’ve been going to down to Cornwall for the past 6 years and this was our favourite house by far! Everything you needed was provided. The house was beautifully decorated and amazingly themed. We couldn’t recommend enough! It was perfect for our dog Archie and our two daughters loved it too!

Marazion is home to the iconic castle of St Michael's Mount and, offering stunning views towards the Lizard Peninsula and Land's End, it's understandably a popular destination. The ancient market town has a fascinating history and claims to be the oldest town in Britain. It's a great place to visit any time of the year with an abundance of restaurants, traditional pubs, craft shops, art galleries and so much more! There's an excellent sandy beach, guarded by St Michael's Mount, that's ideal for swimming, sailing, kite surfing and all kinds of watersports. The surrounding countryside is dotted with little hamlets and quaint villages with the whole area designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) - a great location for bird watching and dolphin spotting.

Godolphin Cross, a little hamlet only 6 miles from Marazion, lies nestled at the base of Godolphin Hill within the Cornish Mining World Heritage site. From the summit of Godolphin Hill there are spectacular panoramic views over West Cornwall and the Lizard Peninsula. The nearby fishing village of Porthleven and the town of Helston are a short drive away as well as the well-known attractions of Flambards, Paradise Park and Gweek Seal Sanctuary which make excellent days out for all age groups. The Lizard Peninsula encompasses numerous picturesque coves and sandy beaches for you to enjoy including Praa Sands, Mullion and Coverack. It's an area which remains unspoilt and is definitely a real Cornish gem!
