Reviews

We felt very lucky to have been able to book the whole of Britannia House for our Summer holiday in 2020. The house is extremely spacious, clean, stylish and comfortable. The location just minutes from the shops in Marazion, pubs and the beach is perfect. The two parking spaces made life very easy for us too. We have three children and they just loved the house even remarking that this was the best holiday house ever! The top deck bedroom and view is fabulous as is the terrace. A wonderful house and holiday. Highly recommend.

Marazion is home to the iconic castle of St Michael's Mount and, offering stunning views towards the Lizard Peninsula and Land's End, it is understandably a popular destination. The ancient market town has a fascinating history and claims to be the oldest town in Britain. It's a great place to visit any time of the year with an abundance of restaurants, traditional pubs, craft shops, art galleries and so much more! There's an excellent sandy beach, guarded by St Michael's Mount, that's ideal for swimming, sailing, kite surfing and all kinds of water sports. The surrounding countryside is dotted with little hamlets and quaint villages with the whole area designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) - a great location for bird watching and dolphin spotting.

To the west of Marazion the nearby fishing village of Mousehole and world famous Minack Theatre at Porthcurno are a short drive away, with Land’s End,  Sennen Cove, Cape Cornwall  and St Ives all within 12 miles. To the east the ‘foodie destination’ harbour town of Porthleven is close by as are the well-known attractions of Flambards, Paradise Park and Gweek Seal Sanctuary which make excellent days out for all age groups withing easy reach. The Lizard Peninsula encompasses numerous picturesque coves and sandy beaches for you to enjoy including Praa Sands, Mullion, Kynance Cove and Cadgwith. It's an area which remains unspoilt and is definitely a real Cornish gem!
