A forgotten part of Cornwall we had not previously discovered. Would definitely return to Little Mill in the future. Good luck with the Vineyard, look forward to sampling the wine one day!

Mrs Karen S,

The cottage is a perfect retreat from everyday life. I would highly recommend it. I would highly recommend Cornish Horizons, we were able to book flexible dates at short notice in an ideal cottage. I particularly like the search option where you can search on time it takes to get to property.

Mrs Jennifer T,

Portwrinkle, in Cornish Porthwykkel, is located on the southeast coast of Cornwall. This small village has a fine view along Whitsand Bay and a history going as far back as medieval times.

Portwrinkle has two main beaches Finnygook and Hoodny Cove, and smaller beaches nearby, at low tide, there are plenty of rock pools to explore with their variety of sea life. Access to both beaches is by steep paths and limited at high tide.  On the cliffs above these two main beaches there are two small car parks (only a few minutes walk away). There are also toilets nearby.

Finnygook is south facing and stands on the eastern side of Portwrinkle.  It is sandy, backed by cliffs and is the most popular beach for experienced surfers and families, but please take notice of the on-site warnings regarding swimming and the cliffs.   Hoodny Cove is adjacent to the quay and harbour and is on the western side.

Please be aware, there is no lifeguard service at either of Portwrinkle's beaches although rescue equipment is available. Another beach located nearby is Britain Cove.  This is a secluded sandy beach which is small at high tide.
