When you arrive, enter the property to find a large, airy lounge to stretch out and relax after your journey. It’s a charming room with plenty of space for your party to unwind, chat and play games. If you’re peckish, head through to the kitchen/dining area to find something tasty. It’s well-equipped and has glass patio doors for a view of the garden and plenty of natural light. On the first floor you’ll see three bedrooms. There are two doubles, each with wide windows and one with an en-suite bathroom, and one twin room. You’ll also find a family bathroom with a deep, P-shaped bath for soaking your troubles away. The property has oil-fired central heating alongside air conditioning to escape the heat on those truly hot, bright summer days. Outside, you’ll find a garden that’s part lawn and part patio. There’s a BBQ and a dining table so you can enjoy warm evening out in the fresh air.
Polruan is a friendly village with a charming atmosphere. There are a few pubs and shops for essentials, but the place doesn’t feel too busy. Take some time to amble around Polruan Castle (0.5 miles) and see her twin, St Catherine’s Castle, just across the river. Enjoy walks at the National Trust Lantic Bay (2 miles) for beaches and wildlife. Alternatively, cross the River Fowey to find the town of Fowey (1 mile with ferry crossing) for more pubs, cafes and shops.
