If the evening is crisp, warm yourself with a fire in the lounge and take in the view over the garden and down to the coast. Back in the kitchen you’ll find a dining area with wide windows, designed for shared meals. As the night draws in, head upstairs to the bedrooms on the first and second floor. One of these king/twins is in the converted loft with a vaulted ceiling along with a ensuite. All of the bedrooms are comfortable, light and airy. In the garden you’ll discover plenty of little sunspots and shaded areas with table and chairs, plus a brick BBQ for summer evenings. Also, an undercover outdoor dining area which is a real bonus, This has a brick fired oven if you fancied a pizza evening. There’s also a patio area overlooking the grounds, perfect for drinks, reading or socialising, not to forget watching the wildlife and sunsets!

The village of Pentewan is a lovely place for holidaymakers. You’ll be 0.5 miles from the centre, where you’ll find places to get delicious grub and try out water sports. Pentewan Beach is just under 0.5 miles, with a long sandy strip to feel beneath your feet. Picturesque harbour villages of  Mevagissey and Charlestown are a short drive, with good restaurants and pubs. For days out, try The Lost Gardens of Heligan, 200-acre grounds with incredible plant life and animal life. You may even be able to see beavers! A fabulous warm, welcoming holiday home when we arrived. When the sun was shining the beaches here and at Newquay were fab for having fun and surfing. The walk over the hills and the coastal path was one adventure. We had a great time! Kids loved it.

A lovely house in a very special place, away from crowds but with so many wonderful places easily accessible. We were blessed with wonderful weather for trips to Heligan, Eden Project, Fowey, but especially loved Restormel and Lostwithiel - the Trewithien restaurant is superb. The house has everything we could possible need, and much more.
