Having been a family home for over 20 years, Edgehill is now available for holidaymakers to enjoy and you certainly will not be disappointed. Nestled quietly on the hillside overlooking the Pentewen Valley, the property boasts spectacular countryside views and provides a stunning laid to lawn garden with planted shrubs, flowers, and hidden seating spots. Inside, the property provides spacious living accommodation making it an ideal choice for a large family or group of friends, with plenty of entertaining space to spend your evenings in. The wood burning stove in the living room provides a warm and cosy space in the winter months, with the outside pavilion and wood-fired oven being the perfect spot in the summer for a barbecue or pizza making!
The pretty village of Pentewan has a local pub, beach shop and garage for all your basic amenities. There are plenty of activities to get involved in nearby including watersports on the beach or bike hire from Pentewen Valley Cycle Hire. If you like to keep your feet firmly on the ground then Edgehill is located right on the coastal path, from which you can enjoy some beautiful countryside walks or head straight down to the beach.
Autumn, Winter and Spring breaks.
The house is warm and cosy with central heating and the log stove, the changing seasons all have something to offer with the colours of autumn, bracing winter walks, springtime with an abundance of birds, tree blossom and bluebells. Many of the local places to visit including Mevagissey, Charlestown, Fowey, the Eden project, the Lost Gardens of Heligan and National trust properties are all less busy than in the main season. Pentewan village itself has a lovely tea room, a homely local pub with good food and various themed evenings such as quiz night and music.
Christmas and New Year are quite special with lights and a Christmas tree, and an evening of carols in the square. The pub is vibrant with special seasonal events.

Property was excellent. Garden space was excellent for sitting out in and for the children to play and explore in. Kitchen was well equipped.
A fabulous warm, welcoming holiday home when we arrived. When the sun was shining the beaches here and at Newquay were fab for having fun and surfing. The walk over the hills and the coastal path was one adventure. We had a great time! Kids loved it.
A lovely house in a very special place, away from crowds but with so many wonderful places easily accessible. We were blessed with wonderful weather for trips to Heligan, Eden Project, Fowey, but especially loved Restormel and Lostwithiel - the Trewithien restaurant is superb. The house has everything we could possible need, and much more. The birds were endlessly entertaining ... don't miss the dolphins following the wake of the Mevagissey/Fowey ferry - wonderful! Thank you. I think we'll be back.
Edgehill is certainly a very special house. The beautiful garden across various levels is lovely and we appreciated many hours enjoying the sunshine, sounds and scenery. An evening meal outside, whether on the patio, or the glass table area is a must. The house is truly gorgeous and we enjoyed discovering all the various rooms, bathrooms (all beautifully decorated) and of course, the spectacular views.
Just to let you know that we had a fabulous time during our stay at Edgehill. What a beautiful property and in a great location. We would particularly like to commend the cleaning as the place was immaculate on arrival. We like to give credit when it's due, so please would you pass on our thanks to all concerned
Our family have fallen in love with not only Cornwall and all it has to offer, but also this truly wonderful idyllic home. Edgehill really is just perfect in every way. The stunning views, glorious gardens and outdoor space with alfresco dining, cosy luxurious home comforts, the privacy, it has it all.
The WOW factor Before we entered the house, we were really impressed with the terraced garden. It is wonderful with many places to sit and admire the green hills surrounding the property and the sea views. It was so peaceful and relaxing. We entered the house and it was just perfect. It has everything you need to have a fantastic time. The kitchen was very well equipped with new saucepans and cooking utensils. The beds were comfortable and the showers were powerful. Everything worked well and we had no problems. The house was spotlessly clean and we enjoyed our week very much. We wished we could have stayed all summer.
This is our second visit to this most beautiful house and the wonderful garden. We had a fantastic time here. The house is so welcoming, so clean and had everything we needed. We all felt relaxed and happy. The sun was shining and so we all loved sitting in the garden looking over to the fields. We enjoyed some good walks and saw so many bluebells and primroses. Since our last visit we discovered we had ancestors who actually lived in the Terrace near the church so we found that interesting. This is such a lovely house so thank you for making it so comfortable for a perfect holiday. Next time we hope to stay for two weeks but wish we could stay all summer!
Walking the south-west coastal path starting from the wrong end of our home in Dorset. We are doing the 630 mile length in weekly sessions over a number of years whilst staying in holiday homes along the way.
We have had a wonderful week. Edgehill is lovely and has everything you need. We've been to Meavgissey, Padstow, Polperro, Looe, Lands End and Gorran Haven. We will be hightly recommending Edgehill to friends and family. It's a great base. The extra outside area is a great touch.
What a wonderful place. We have really enjoyed our stay at Edgehill. The house is really lovely, very homely and comfortable. The views are stunning and there is much to explore. Really impressed with how well equipped it is. We managed to fit in some coastal walking - one day we walked to Gorran Haven and back (13 miles). Can definitely recommend if you enjoy a walk. The local pub is also fab, with great food and cosy atmosphere.
As soon as we stepped out of the car we were all impressed by the house, garden and views. The house was spotless, very cosy and welcoming with lovely touches throughout. This was a wonderful family holiday made complete because of the wonderful house and the surroundings. We enjoyed the garden very much and have great memories of our time here.
