Cobblers Cottage is a sympathetic renovation of a delightful country cottage, which forms part of Trefanny Hill Cottages, and which is set in a quiet hamlet in the glorious Cornish countryside. The village has a long history and was abandoned for years when none of its men returned after the first world war. With its thick granite walls, exposed beams and plush furnishings, the cottage feels peaceful and welcoming. Whilst it feels a world away from the hustle and bustle of life, the local towns of Looe and Polperro are only 10 minutes away and the nearby village of Pelynt has great amenities if you need supplies.
Pelynt has two well-stocked village stores, a charming village pub and a 14th century church. There are many places of interest to visit close by and the sheltered, shingle beaches of Talland Bay are a short drive away. The quaint fishing villages of Looe and Polperro are worth a visit with lots of choice for dining out and boat trips around the harbour.
Kitchen Area: Electric double oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine.
Living/Dining Room: TV, DVD, feature fireplace with electric fire. Selection of books and games. Countryside views.
Bedroom 1: King size bed (5"), bedside units, wardrobe, countryside views.

GARDEN & PARKING: Private parking for one large car or two small cars. Enclosed lawned garden to the side overseen from the kitchen with countryside views, picnic table and barbecue.

The town of Looe has charming narrow streets leading down to a picturesque harbour, and is split into East and West Looe by the river that runs through it, and on down to the beach. Looe's sandy beach has a little cafe where you can linger over a cup of coffee while people-watching or admiring the view. There are a number of lovely cafes, as well as restaurants and pubs to choose from, making this a great destination for the foodies among you. You will have the opportunity to buy freshly-caught fish from the market on the quay, or if you fancy it, go out on a fishing trip to have a go at catching your own! If you don't fancy fishing, a good alternative boat trip is to Looe Island, where you can find some lovely examples of rare plants, and spot plenty of wildlife, including grey seals and seabirds. Looe Marine Conservation Group can give you more information about the island and its wildlife. Looe is said to be a wonderful place to enjoy the New Year festivities, a time when many happy party-goers in fancy dress descend upon the town to soak up the atmosphere and enjoy a magnificent display of fireworks.
