Make your way up the sloping path and steps to reach the idyllic penthouse apartment, Duchy. Once inside you will immediately be drawn to the windows to marvel at the glorious sea views available from every room. The privacy and tranquillity of its tucked-away position, open-plan living area, and spacious interior will delight you. The enclosed and private paved sun terrace to the rear is fantastic for sitting out in the evenings and enjoying the view of St Georges Island and the sea beyond.
Duchy apartment is one of a group of apartments, formerly a Victorian seaside villa, which has been refurbished to a high standard and provides excellent accommodation ideal for couples and those looking for a relaxing break.
Situated just a couple of minutes’ walk from Hannafore beach, which is dog-friendly all year round, and the South West Coast Path - there’s plenty of space to exercise and enjoy the outdoors.
Positioned in West Looe, it’s a short walk to the local amenities. There’s also a small passenger ferry service to take you across the river to East Looe where you can enjoy all the pubs, restaurants and shops on offer and also visit the popular East Looe beach.

Bathroom: Bath with electric shower over and additional hand-held mixer shower, basin, WC
Bedroom: Superking size bed (6’), Freeview TV, built-in wardrobe, chest of drawers. Sea views across to St George’s Island.
GARDEN & PARKING: Parking for 1 car in an allocated space to the front of the building. Private, enclosed sun terrace to the rear on the same level as the apartment with bistro set and sea views across to the Island.
Changeover Day: Saturday - arrival 3:00pm - departure 10:00am.
Pets Welcome: Maximum 2; £25 per pet per week. Information about bringing your pet.
Power and Heat: Gas & electricity included in rent; gas fired CH throughout.
Bedding and Linen: Bed linen and towels provided (please bring your own beach towels).
Baby Equipment: None provided but may be hired locally – please check our hire page.

NOTES: No smoking. WiFi provided. Mobile reception varies. Please note there are several sections of steps and paths leading up to the apartment so it is not recommended for those with mobility restrictions. Approx. 63 steps in total but worth the effort for the views!

Had an absolutely amazing stay. The town of Looe has charming narrow streets leading down to a picturesque harbour, and is split into East and West Looe by the river that runs through it, and on down to the beach. Looe's sandy beach has a little cafe where you can linger over a cup of coffee while people-watching or admiring the view.
There are a number of lovely cafes, as well as restaurants and pubs to choose from, making this a great destination for the foodies among you. You will have the opportunity to buy freshly-caught fish from the market on the quay, or if you fancy it, go out on a fishing trip to have a go at catching your own!
If you don't fancy fishing, a good alternative boat trip is to Looe Island, where you can find some lovely examples of rare plants, and spot plenty of wildlife, including grey seals and seabirds. Looe Marine Conservation Group can give you more information about the island and its wildlife.
Looe is said to be a wonderful place to enjoy the New Year festivities, a time when many happy party-goers in fancy dress descend upon the town to soak up the atmosphere and enjoy a magnificent display of fireworks.
