Reviews

Nice apartment!

Mr Stuart H,

I loved my visit to Cornwall, a place I've wanted to see for many years. I trekked in Devon last year, a trip that inspired me to come back to southwestern England. While Devon was beautiful, I found Cornwall more charming with its lovely villages and unique and friendly culture. My stay in Looe at the Cornish Horizons property was perfect for me, as it was in a thoughtfully renovated apartment in an older building with original charm. The Cornish Horizons team, with an office conveniently located in the village, were available to answer all my questions and attend promptly to my needs. I hope to come back next year to continue my exploration of this fantastic county.

Rosemary B,

Our holiday in Looe was lovely, the flat was amazing and everything was made very easy for us would recommend this company and use again.

Mrs J B,

Perfect position to enjoy Looe, especially at new year. We could watch the fun from our window and join in as we wanted. Looe has an amazing atmosphere at new year.

Mrs Jean E,

The property was lovely, and very comfortable. Felt like home.

Cherry A,

The property was wonderful.

Mr David R,

We will definitely stay at this property again.

Mr Stephen T,

We both had a wonderful time. Thank You all.

Mr Julian B,

Map

The town of Looe has charming narrow streets leading down to a picturesque harbour, and is split into East and West Looe by the river that runs through it, and on down to the beach.  Looe's sandy beach has a little cafe where you can linger over a cup of coffee while people-watching or admiring the view.

There are a number of lovely cafes, as well as restaurants and pubs to choose from, making this a great destination for the foodies among you.  You will have the opportunity to buy freshly-caught fish from the market on the quay, or if you fancy it, go out on a fishing trip to have a go at catching your own!

If you don't fancy fishing, a good alternative boat trip is to Looe Island, where you can find some lovely examples of rare plants, and spot plenty of wildlife, including grey seals and seabirds.  Looe Marine Conservation Group can give you more information about the island and its wildlife.

Looe is said to be a wonderful place to enjoy the New Year festivities, a time when many happy party-goers in fancy dress descend upon the town to soak up the atmosphere and enjoy a magnificent display of fireworks.
