It really isn't possible to get closer to the water than Chandlers, a comfortable apartment where you can actually fish from the balcony at high tide if you wish. The fantastic uninterrupted views of the ever changing river can be enjoyed from the lounge/kitchen/diner and bedroom. On a warm day you can open the balcony door and enjoy all the boats and ships passing by within 200 yards. There is also a great view of 'Ferryside' the one time home of author Daphne du Maurier across the water at Bodinnick. This is du Maurier country and the acclaimed Fowey festival attracts many to its talks, walks, plays and poetry. The centre of Fowey with its many independent shops, cafes, inns and restaurants is within a few hundred yards walk.

If you haven't yet discovered Fowey, you've got a treat in store. Full of multicoloured cottages, perched on the hillsides leading down to the sea, this little fishing town has lots to tempt visitors.
There is an entrancing collection of unique local shops and boutiques, along with harbourside cafes, pubs which will give you a hearty welcome and a good atmosphere, and restaurants offering tempting local produce. If you want a unique insight into the local species in these waters, you could visit Fowey Aquarium, whose residents include specimens brought in by local fishermen.
If you're a fan of Daphne du Maurier, you may want to visit the Literary Centre, which gives information and exhibits about the author and her life and work. There is also the Fowey Festival of Words and Music, held in May, in which du Maurier, and many other authors, artists and musicians, are celebrated. Another great spectacle is the Fowey Royal Regatta, held in August.
Fowey lies within one of the many Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty in Cornwall, and the backdrop of the surrounding countryside, with its tidal creeks, rolling fields and rugged cliffs, will make you want to return here again and again.
everything was superb everything was splendid wonderful situation - could not have been better locatedMrs Pamela Perfect - 11th October 2017
Superb location. Basic but well equipped property,Mrs J Carter - 2nd October 2017
Loved the property with the river views and balcony. Staff in office very friendly. Have already recommended to family and friends we love Fowey and Chandlers for the two of us. Will be also looking for larger properties when we visit with family.Mrs Y Arblaster - 15th July 2016
No because I would like to keep it secret and keep returning to Chandlers so don't want others to book my favourite week! Fowey is so unchanged and the individual shops are great. Plenty of good walks around the area and great places to eat. Fantastic views from the property literally waterside with all types of craft passing by. A super place to unwind and rainy days are no big deal watching the water scenes from the comfort of the apartment. The property could do with a little makeover now especially kitchen and bathroom and the balcony is very small - but those views are it's great attraction. Local bus service was most unreliable this year.Mrs J Carter - 20th September 2015
Nice accommodation with good views, excellent service and response to enquiries. Fowey is an attractive village and harbour.Mr N Mackinnon - 28th June 2015
